The Reformation of Islam?

06.09.2008

Greetings my friends,

I have been on Israel Today's internet mailing list for some time because it is important for those of us who love the Lord Jesus Christ to understand what is happening in the world of politics and religion, especially in the Holy Land. As I was growing up in a small Midwestern town these two subjects were hardly ever discussed outside of one's immediate family. For political and religious differences were known to escalate into bitter arguments releasing much tension in the small town of eight hundred people. So these major topics were swept under the proverbial rug where even the preachers of the few congregations in our town kept silent concerning political and religious differences. I must admit this taboo always troubled me, especially after returning from the Vietnam war to a nation bitterly divided over the very politics of and religious justification for wars among men.

This headline article copied below should awaken even the sleepiest of those who take the name and profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (You might want to scroll down now and read the article before going any further in my letter.) For ever since that dark day of 9/11 when thousands of Americans lay buried in the rubble of the World Trade Center, the religion and politics of Islam has captured the hearts of everyone. Most people see that terrible day as a declaration of war upon Western society by Islam's radical elements who seemed to control their religion. This war has been raging ever since, and the taboo against talking about politics and religion has been removed in the minds of many, including most of my friends and family who I grew up with. Bitter arguments among Americans over this war with Islam are boiling over and will be a major issue in this year's Presidential race for the White House.

For several years now, I have been daily sending out to people around the world an invitation to visit our website, which is rooted and grounded upon the person and political-religious teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have always encouraged people to test and prove what is written on our website with the scriptures. But more importantly, I have encouraged everyone to make certain their names have been written in the Lamb's Book of Life so they will not be condemned when they die or when the Lord returns in his judgment upon the nations. Included among many questions in this letter of invitation is a direct reference to the question of Islam's ability to reform itself and what this has to do with the rise of the infamous Antichrist according to the prophetic scriptures. I have copied a portion of this letter below:

Prophecy: A Vietnam Veteran's Perspective

Greetings,

If only the British and American people could find just one real-life savior in the likeness of James Bond or Jack Bauer, the Islamic Fundamentalists around the world would be forced to reform themselves and make peace with Israel and the Western powers, or be utterly destroyed. The immense popularity of these two fictional characters who single-handedly defeat evildoers, certainly reveals the hopes and dreams of many people in America. And nothing would please the Fundamentalists of Christendom more than to see Islam's "culture of death" reformed and brought into the community of peaceful nations, so that their sons in the military will no longer be...in harm's way. Please consider the following questions:

What does the future hold for Fundamentalists of all religions? Will there be more war or compromise and peace? Is there a real-life Jack Bauer or James Bond, having a sword in one hand and a olive branch in the other, coming to save and bring peace to the world? Is he here already? Are aliens or angels real? Is someone or thing "out there" in the heavens? Do they have anything to do with the wars raging in the Middle East? Will Israeli and American tanks have to roll into Damascus and Tehran respectively, to keep them from obtaining nuclear weapons? Or will Iran and Syria make peace with Israel? Does there need to be regime changes in these two nations first? Will Russia and America work together for peace in the Holy Land? Will the Pope help? Will Mary, the mother of Jesus, help as well? Can the Jews and Moslems share the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, allowing for the rebuilding of Solomon's Temple right next to the infamous Dome of the Rock mosque? What do communism, fascism, monarchies, theocracies, democracies, and republics all have in common? How are Christians suppose to relate and react to the men in charge of these various forms of civil government? Will the coming infamous peacemaking Antichrist be a Jew, a Muslim, a New Ager, a Christian, a Bonesman, or a member of the Freemasons? Is the second coming of Jesus to the Earth a spiritual or bodily return? And finally, are Christians counted as sheep for the slaughter or militant soldiers of the sword? Are they to be lambs or lions in this life and world?

-----------------------------------------------

Perhaps you are one of those who received this letter and it provoked you to respond and establish a link with me and our ministry. In any case, what the King of Saudi Arabia is doing appears to be setting the stage for the coming Peace Covenant of Daniel 9:27, which brings an end to the wars of the Middle East that have claimed the lives of many American soldiers, the many wars that have filled our television screens since the establishment of the nation of Israel in 1948. The fundamental question we all need to ask is this. How do we respond to this unbelievable news coming from the Saudi King who wants to launch an interfaith dialogue with Christians and Jews? Indeed, how will leaders like Barack Obama, John McCain, Pope Benedict, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Todd Bentley of the so-called Lakeland revival, Rick Joyner, Bob Jones, Pat Robertson, Robert Schuller, James Dobson, John Hagee, Rod Parsley, Jeremiah Wright, Benny Hinn, T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen, Hal Lindsey, Chuck Smith, Jack Van Impe, Paul Crouch, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Rielly, and Rush Limbaugh react if and when this becomes a reality?

How will those Islamic leaders from Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas, who have vowed repeatedly to erase Israel from the map, deal with this plea from the King, their fellow Muslem brother. Can they possibly be reformed and if so, how can they convince the Jews of Israel and the American President? Speaking of the President, will Obama and McCain jump onboard when the Saudi King announces to the world the interfaith dialogue will soon begin? As I stated in my last article "Then Comes the Fire" neither Obama nor McCain will likely join with the followers of Jesus to call abortionists and homosexuals to repentance, but will eagerly join with the oil rich King in his delusions of religious unity and tolerance to save the world from a recurring nuclear nightmare.

Religious and political doctrines still cause bitter arguments, but many people now understand these two things, along with economic principles are the driving force of the entire world system, and need to be confronted or a nuclear war enflamed by religious madness will end life on Earth as we know it. I understand that this confusing and varied Babylonian political-religious-economic system which divides and destroys friendships, families, and nations, is used by the fallen angels led by Satan to manipulate men who refuse to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Revelation 17-19. The ugly division and endless arguments purposely stirred up by fallen angels have brought us all to this final hour of time when unity and compromise must prevail or multiple millions will die in seconds as the nuclear clouds rise over the horizon. Even the King of Saudi Arabia seems to understand this simple fact.

But how can deceit, hatred, pride, love of money and self, that are together the spiritual foundation of all wars and clearly reflect some of the core elements of a sin nature we all possess, be cleansed from our hearts? For unless this cleansing is accomplished in the men who sit at this coming interfaith dialogue, or the parallel political meetings among the leaders of nations, the strife and war will soon return. Those of you who live in and walk with the Lord and understand his prophetic teachings know the only way to experience this cleansing is through Godly sorrow that brings repentance of sin and faith in the shed blood of the resurrected Jesus Christ for the removal of the sin nature that rules over our hearts, all by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. You also know from the Spirit within you that only when Jesus returns bodily in power and glory will the presence and power of the fallen angels be removed from this Earth. Those in Christendom who proclaim to have been given from the God the authority to take over the nations and have "Kingdom Dominion" have not heard from the true God, but a fallen angel of light who has deceived them.

Even the political argument now being waged between Obama and McCain is evidence of the religious and rebellious sin nature having its way. The "Kingdom Dominion" mindset is in full gear with Obama who spoke to a group of religious leaders and appealed to them to help him "bring in" the Kingdom. When in Greenville, S.C. in October of 2007, Obama said he was pleased that leaders in the evangelical community such as T.D. Jakes and Rick Warren were beginning to discuss social justice issues like AIDS and poverty in ways evangelicals were not doing before. Obama said, "I think that's a healthy thing, that we're not putting people in boxes, that everybody is out there trying to figure out how do we live right and how do we create a stronger America." He finished his brief remarks by saying, "We're going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can "create a Kingdom" right here on Earth."

Our response to all of this Kingdom Dominion talk, which re-interprets the Great Commission the Lord gave his disciples, among men like Obama, Warren, and Jakes is quite simple my dear friends and family. But first you must know we are being called by two opposing spiritual powers. Which voice will you listen to and follow? Will it be the Antichrist, who initially arrives on the scene heralding the name of Jesus, but not his teachings, or the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ who is coming in great power and glory to cleanse this Earth from the presence of Satan and his fallen angels. Jesus came the first time to offer all of us the deliverance from and power over our sin nature which damns us to Hell, by dying on that bloody cross and rising from the dead.

Remember, the combined power of the precious blood and second coming of Jesus Christ is the "only" permanent solution to the deception, death, and destruction that men and governments inflict upon one another to the hideous delight of their fallen angel masters. The God who created and loves you wants you to soften your heart and experience sorrow of a Godly kind that works repentance unto the salvation of your heart, mind, and body, 2 Corinthians 7:10. He will replace your genuine sorrow with his joy by giving you a new heart full of his faith and truth! He will live within you! This is the heart of the New Testament teachings from which all things become new in our inner man. Once this happens you will desire to obey the God of Israel because you love him, knowing that he first loved you and sent his Son to save you from your sins and the bondage of Satan and his fallen angels.

The long-awaited reformation of Islam has now entered a critical phase, just as it has among Christendom and Judaism. One way or another, Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas will take their seat at the interfaith dialogue or more wars will break out in the Middle East. The natural weariness of war and fear of a nuclear holocaust is taking its toll on the people of this world. We all feel it. Are we now seeing the twisted hatred and perverted pride that Satan has stirred within the sinful hearts of unsaved religious and political men being used by him to offer relief from this weariness through the promise of his counterfeit Kingdom?

Your eternal friend,
Jack

Saudi king says Islam must do away with extremism

Saudi King Abdullah said Wednesday that Islam must do away with extremism and present the positive side of the religion.

The king made these statements at the opening of a conference of 500 Muslims from 50 nations who plan to launch an interfaith dialogue with Christians and Jews. The goal of the three-day gathering in Mecca is to unite Muslim voices particularly, Shiites and Sunnis.

"You have gathered today to tell the whole world that ... we are a voice of justice and values and humanity, that we are a voice of coexistence and a just and rational dialogue," Abdullah said.

Iranian politician Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani sat on the stage, signaling that the Sunni kingdom does not have a problem with moderate Shiites.

"Our brothers in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia ... have presented a great message to all humanity in the world," Rafsanjani said. "Before we speak with other religions, we must speak among ourselves and reach an understanding on a particular Islamic path."

If the interfaith dialogue does occur, it would be the first such initiative from a nation with no diplomatic ties to Israel. Participants expect Saudi Arabia will launch its formal call for an interfaith dialogue at the conference's close or soon after. It is still unclear whether Israeli religious leaders would be invited.
