Jack why is it that Christians like you do not take some time out to check the scriptures to see if the Christian teaching is true that “As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one” (Romans 3:10)?. I have checked it out for myself Jack and NOT ONCE can I find it “written” ANYWHERE that “There is none righteous, no, not one”. On the contrary I find it “written” for example in Matthew Chapter thirteen that there were and are “many righteous” (Matthew 13:17) such as “Noah” (Genesis 7:1)who was considered “righteous” before he ever entered the ark. There are in addition over 200 references in the old testament to “righteous men and women” and “the righteous nation” and at least 20 more references to “righteous” people in the four gospel writings of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and Acts. I am FULLY persuaded therefore from the scriptures that what is written in Romans 3:10 is ONE BIG LIE. I hope Jack that you and your readers will find this helpful. Sean McCarthy……………………………………………….Jack’s response. I am sorry that you have called the apostle Paul a liar for saying that there is no one righteous, not one. By calling him a liar, you are calling our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, who wrote the New Testament working through men like Paul, liars as well. All of the refernces in scripture that declare righteousness upon men always means the righteousness “given” by God to men who responded in repentance and faith in the God of Israel, our Lord Jesus. So Paul was correct in saying that in themselves no man is righteous for we are all born with a sin nature that condems us. Please reconsider what have said, my friend.
