February 2013 Comments

Man, how could intelligent minds be so completely in la-la land.  Jesus is dead. He died 2012 years ago. He isn’t coming back. He’s dead and gone. He’s six feet under. Get over it.  Live your own life and live today.  Forget heaven! It’s a fantasy and I don’t think Jesus dreamed it up.  Live now and live well.  Let death take you with a smile and sign off for all eternity when you die.

It’s all good,

Frosty Wooldridge

Mr. Hook, I regard biblical prophecy as illiterate mind shrinking nonsense.   And BTW,  Israel has no intention of ever making peace with anyone, especially the Syrians and the Iranians.  You need to wake up... t.  One more thing!   Please do not clutter my inbox with this nonsense again.  Thank you.  t.

Thank you for your letter to me. I do share some of your views, but I do not share that Zionist/Rothschild created and controlled Israel is the Promised Land. I assume that you never read the ‘Yewish Talmud’ or the 63’ books. The context of the Talmud should come as a shock to you and anyone who is willing to read it.

Thanks, what is the overall belief system of Jack Hook? Not killing I see is an important part of his belief.

Anthony

Jack, You are amazing because of the light that you give and a reminder that we have hope.  I believe our home town had a mission to raise outstanding young people and leaders.  The churches and community did a great job.  Our home town has a treasure that is difficult to find any other place.  We are of the most benefit!

Respectfully, Betty

Jack --

Though theologically we are worlds apart on many things – I read the below (Bloodshed in His Name) with a smile of “true understanding.”

Many years ago I attempted to have the National Flag removed from the Sanctuary of the church I was serving thinking as a well decorated Vet my “patriotism” would not be questioned.  It was a futile effort.

THE FAITH MUST TRANSCEND NATIONALISM!!!

Pastor Bruce

Jack,  I agree with the premises expressed in the article you sent.  In my heart, I know that our Savior taught us the way of peace.  However, I ask you, as a Vietnam widow whose life was forever altered by patiotism, what are we to do as a nation?  We are living in a fallen world.  Should we refuse to defend our country?  Evil forces are set to destroy us.  I am glad I do not have to make any decisions of import to many.  I can just about hold on myself, until He comes, or He takes me home.  Leta

Hello Jack and Rick Frueh,

I have just read your article "Bloodshed in his name."

It was in 1982 during the falklands war between Britain and Argentina that i first began to question the morality of going to war.

Still being on the army reserve list i was eligible to be called up for military service, but i began thinking, if i killed someone in an act of war, that person could be someones son or daughter, husband or wife, father or mother, what ever the case it would cause whole families a great deal of heart ache, and as a father myself i thought of all the time and effort my wife and i had invested in our son, but that could all be wiped out in an instant by an act of war.

I asked myself, 'Is that why we raise children just so they can kill each other on the battle field ?'.

There had to be a better alternative.

I am pleased to say i was right, there is a better alternative, and it's not a new idea, but is found in a book first writen thousands of years ago that spoke of a time when we will beat our swords into plowshares, and learn war no more, because God will make wars to cease to the ends of the earth, where we will learn to love our enemies, and each other, instead of having love for our respective nations. -Isa.2:4; Psalm 46:9; Matt.5:43,44; John 13:35.

It also tells us that as true Christians we are no part of the world because our King is no part of the world, and niether is his kingdom, -John 17:16; 18:36. So as such we don't get involved in the conflicts of the world.

But have you ever thought that if the world wants peace so badly, why do we keep having wars?

Is there some invisible force behind this driving nations to wage war against each other ?

What do you think ? Who's really behind it all ?

Also what do you think of the United Nations ? is it all it's cracked up to be to be ?

Steve

Jack.....Bloodshed in His name? If it were not for thye heroic soldiers of WWII you would now be speaking German anjd living under Naziism. Am I for bloodshed in a just cause. YES!!!!

------------------------------------------

Jack, do you mean to say the British, Canadians, Americans, Aussies, etc., who gave their lives fighting the Nazi hordes from taking over the world, were wrong? If they had done what you suggest, we'd all be speaking German now - or perhaps Russian. Was God wrong in the way He so obviously helped Israel defeat those who would destroy that small nation in 1967, which cost both countries many lives? If a man breaks into your home and is about to rape your wife or kill your children, would you let him do it for fear that if you try to stop him your might end up "shedding his blood"? A cop walks down the street and sees a man pulling the trigger of a gun, about to murder you in a robbery attempt - should he pull his gun and shoot your would-be killer? Or should he leave his gun in his holster and watch him kill you. Or should we Christians simply do nothing and let the non-Christians fight our battles for us, so they have blood on their hands instead of us. "Thou shalt not kill" is not necessarily the same as "Thou shalt not murder."

Where's the line, Jack? If there is one.

Blessings to you, in Christ Jesus.

Dave

I don't know how you got my name or e-mail address but I am glad you did.

Your article (The Judgment Chronicles) has made some things clear to me that I had wondered about for a long time.

Yes, I am a born again Christian and , I thought, I was a Republican that was going to get out and fight for my rights and the Constitution.

But, now I see that it would be wrong to do that.

I must say that you have really put my heart at peace with the timeline. Now I see why everything is happeneing the way it is.

I NEVER pray for my enemies, I always pray that God will give me the strength to overcome them. But NOW I see where I have lacked in my praying.

I want to thank you for this article and I would be very interested in reading more. What is your website?

Thank you for mailing me this. I believe it was God that inspired you to send it to me because I have been having alot of questions on this subject.

I will keep you in my prayers and I hope to hear from you soon.

Thelma

Oh, Amen, Jack!  I am SO glad to hear that there are others who think the same way!   Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.(1 Peter 3:8-9) [Christ]... who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously (1 Peter 2:23)......
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[ says the Lord. 20 Therefore

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:17-21) Amen.

Thank you for sharing what I have believed for a LONG time!

Bless you.

Your sister in Christ,

Clare

I agree with everything it was said on this page, but we must not make of every grass a bunch! Let's not forget that there's a so called church around the world, which claims to be the "first and the Original Apostolic Church"! So, before any single person will become so big to proclaim to be "The Christ, we have to be careful about the Roman Catholic Church, which so many, even in the Evangelical circle of the USA, don't see it as a "Cult"! This is the most dangerous thing which is happening, especially in the USA, where they have to make a good face to a bad situation, and can't "bully or persecute" whoever doesn't accept their doctrine. Yet in Italy and all over Europe, believers are still morally and emotionally persecuted for the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ...A dress-up person with a "purple shirt" it's only a foolish thing, but before we can put it close to the anti-christ, it will need to become at least as big as the Roman Catholic Pope!

A week ago I was preaching at a church in the US, and the Pastor of this very "Ortodox" and Biblically based Church Denomination, in presenting me to the congregation, said that I came from where Peter (the head of the Apostles) has been, and where he died! ...Now, where in the world, has he ever read that, if not in a Roman Catholic book? Other believers would ask me "how are our Catholic Brothers and Sisters, doing in Italy?" Before we can call each other "Brothers and Sisters", we have to make sure that we have the same "Heavenly Father", which can only happen if we received Jesus Christ His Begotten Son, as our Savior and Lord! We are not all children of God, but all "creature of God"!

Do you see how sometimes we can confuse the Word of God with man's made teachings? This is a very little thing, but even Saul's sin appeared to be very little to us; but not to God, who took His grace and his kingdom away from him, and gave it to David!

Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Abel

Beautiful!  Do you sense any irony that a self-proclaimed Mormon is being supported by the 'Christian' right?  Having personally known the author of kingdom of the cults, dr Walter Martin, who so eloquently exposed this religion as a fraud, he must be turning in his grave.  How blinded have the supposed  followers of Christ become.  The verse, many will come in the last days saying lord lord I did this for you... Jesus responds with depart from me you workers of inequity has never been more clear to me... In His truth, Craig

------------------------------------------

Jack, thank you for this wonderful message (The Judgment Chronicles)----It has really blessed me, as I truly believe that Jesus Christ is coming back soon----All this turmoil going on and people turning away from God has all the proof of the signs of the times---I will be passing this along to others----They all will be blessed---Keep up the strong work of our Lord----God bless you---In Christ Jesus---Harlene

------------------------------------------

The truth shall make you free...not set you free. It is a process. He came to save us from our sins...not in them. We must be born of the water and of the Spirit or we will not enter into the kingdom of God. There must be the death, burial, and resurrection applied:  Acts 2:38

-----------------------------------------

Jack,

Is there anything in Scripture that prohibits our political efforts here in America to end the reign of this antiChrist, Obama, by encouraging others to vote for the apparent lesser of two evils? Was not our country given to us by Divine Providence to be a place of refuge and development for Christians? If so, are we not poor stewards if we do not try to continue toward that perfect realm here in America--even if we fail? The greater failure is not to try to be good stewards. Which is better? To remain in abject silence waitng for the ax to fall? Or, to remain steadfast crying out, God's man! God's man!

You choose the path that you wish and be Blessed in it. I will walk the path of Evangelism by Example believing that both the spoken Word and the necessary acts thereto apertaining is the better path.

In Christ,

Ed

It's hard out here sometimes.  Seems there are very few true believers.

I heard a pastor the other day say..."It's not about the Donkey or the Elephant...It's all about the Lamb".

Thanks for responding

Jack,

I can't believe you wrote this bunch of "crap"!!  I don't know where you get your ideas, but this one is absurd.  If you want to believe this kind of trash, keep it to yourself. Jo
