Bro Jack:

THANKS for the note. I’m not much of an internet person but, as time permits, will look at some of your material. I AM born again. I asked Jesus Christ to save me in 1976 back in North Dakota, my home state. I also am of the Viet Nam era (was just there a couple of years ago), although I was not in the service, having flunked my induction physical in ’68. I have been an Bible believing, Baptist pastor for almost 30 years now having started a couple of churches.

In reading your letter some things that we do agree on certainly caught my attention, especially about the “fallen angels” who are REAL. In fact the local newspaper (Missoulian) recently printed my response to some of that stuff (aliens, etc). I am pleasantly surprised that they did! On the the “two prophets” of Revelation 11 (Moses and Elijah), it is true that they will try to “set some things straight.” Of course they’ll get their heads cut off for it, but they certainly will be “faithful unto death.”
There is much more to say, but I have a lot of “irons in the fire” and must get going. I hope that we can talk again.

Jack, I called you “Bro” in my greeting. By your letter it looks as if you have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ; I hope you truly have. If not, well, you just better. I love you in the Lord then and if you are not “in the Lord” I love you anyway (Rom 5:5) and have PRAYED FOR YOU today.

John

I am enjoying reading the “Truth” on this site. It has brought tears to my eyes to read of the faith of Stephen and others. “Father, forgive them” needs to be upon our hearts and near our lips as we often come against the enemies of Christ.
I need advise on warfare. God has convinced me that it is wrong. The only enemies He has today are those who reject Christ. I cry for the lives lost on both sides of war. Will you help me prove it is wrong? So, I can tell others that this is something that Christians should stay out of.
My only desire is to please Him!
Praise God.

Dear Jack: I to had a guilty feeling about not being in direct combat with my fellow Marines. I came to realize, many years latter, that God had a different agenda for me than I had for myself. Your doing what God wants keep up the good work. Jack

————————————————–

Dear Mr Hook,
Thank you…. you have been a true answer and blessing to my prayers. I have just begun to read your articles and am sharing your wisdoms and truths with all my friends…. as THE SPIRIT leads me.
My journey has been a wild ride for most of my life. Yet the one thing that has always been such a great blessing and strength to me , has been the gift of a true and dear knowledge of JESUS and HIS presence within my daily life.
I have been striving to follow JESUS all my life, and yet was so far off course. At 15 I joined the LDS church and spent most of my life fighting an internal battle between what I have always instinctly known and what they teach. That battle has now come to a close. I have resigned, and the last stone was Thanks to your writtings and how they fit within my thinking and beliefs and you add the scriptures to make what I know hold truths. You are not the reason, but you were the answers to my questions and doubts, asked of GOD.
I have walked alone …as far as people goes, for most of my life. But I can truely say with total confidence, I have never been alone, even when I pushed “THEM” away. FATHER and I have had our moments, and my battles, and the mountains of all my fears and self doubts.
I want you to know that for what ever it is worth…. I love your articles and wisdom and your knowledge of facts and scriptures. I am so grateful for FATHER leading me to find you. The story behind finding you is one of a miracle within itself. I was searching for Lipids and LDL, and how to do what i can to be healthier. FATHER leads me to my best discoveries , when I least expect them. Why this article came up….did not make sense then , but the title “Wake Up America , The End time is here !!” sure caught my eye. This has been my rallying call for over 8 years. So I reduced it and off and on for over a week I would try to read it. Then one Sabbath, Saturday…. I had asked for direction and insight into what I was to do and where I was to search for truths ……..I was able to read ,understand and share that article. So my newest journey of discoveries and truths was launched. Thank you !!
I pray my journey to truths will continue and with GODS help , that I will be lead and discern real truths from Satens lies.
I have never seen JESUS , but I have felt HIM and heard HIS promptings. I KNOW he LIVES and LOVES us all.
Saddly I do know one thing with even more assurity, because I saw and heard him…..Saten Lives. I was brought up with a bible that held a picture of him in red tights , with horns and a long pointed tail and cloven hooves. Someone that we all would fear and know if we saw him. At 5 years old……my Dad was dying of cancer…..Mom had left to walk to the neighbors to call the doctor and stayed there to wait for his coming. I was left to care for my Dad. To be with him when he died, to try to help him in his passing. I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water and some asprin…….poor Dads body was shutting down, cold and hurting. As I was coming through the swinging door, I heard voices, and thought Mom and the Doctor had arrived. What I saw , was a man dressed very dapper (as my Mom would say ), very dignified, and in a very fancy 3 piece suit. He smiled at me , and in that instance I knew he was Saten himself. Not the one I was taught about, but the real Saten. I also knew he knew all there was to know about me and who I was and was to be. I was filled with FEAR and withdrew quickly. As if that wooden door could make me safe from his existance. I knew it never would.
Dad and saten made a deal……and saten left……and was simply gone. Dad got right up and got dressed and lived for 36 more years. When the doctor arrived, he and mom were shocked .
I asked my Mom if anyone had gone by the house where she was…..it being the only way out of the woods where we lived. She assured me NO one had been near our place but Her and the doctor.
The next evening , Dad was shaving and the bathroom went ablaze with fire, and we all ran for safty. We went to the neighbors, and before we could call for help, the fire department arrived. We lived in Winston Salem , North Carolina…
1954 or 55 in the heart of tobacco country, and the house we rented was in the woods surrounded by tobacco fields. They had seen the fire from town. They rushed down to put the fire out….spraying water and trying to get it under control. There were many there, my Dad included. Then it happened. The fire went out, only the facts were there for all to see and know. The fire they had seen from town , and had fought , had never been. Not one burn , mark or evidence was left. Even the plastic curtains in the bathroom were intact. Perfect as they had been before the fire I had seen with my own eyes. Just as they were before we ran for our lives and I fell and was left with a mark on my knee to remember.
These were the days of Tent revivals, Billy Graham and Oral Roberts……(which is another story, of how I knew and felt about them then) . Both had prayed for my Dad and laid hands on him….. but the fire , which was said by many to be ” Saint Elmo’s fire”… told the truths. The truths I have kept in my heart and told few for so long. Saten is real and people need to know this.
Thank you for doing GODS work. Thank you for being there for folks like me. GOD bless you always.
Sincerely
Helen

Hi Jack Funny in the 60’s I would have loved to have meat someone at the air port with your name and been able to yell out ” Hi Jack”,
just to see what would happen. Anyway, I did respond to your guess book. Thanks. How I stumbled across your e-page, was because I’ve been trying to find some history on my unit. and its coming and goings in Nam in the time spin That I was their. Would you have any idea how I could find this kind of info? Thanks Jack The LORD JESUS is our hope. Thanks St. john

Yes, Jack, I understand your words, we must stay non-violent, and stand with our Lord, thankful for your wonderful words, and I hope your family is blessed. Keep up the good work on the internet site, time is close by now. It is good to speak with another brother in our Lord who gets this part, so many folks think this war is the way to stand up, no way, at our Jewish/Christian church meeting last night out of 33 people, 15 people were saved and accepted our Lord in their hearts. I was so happy that they got slained by the Blood of the Lamb, and saved by his Holy Spirit sent for them to live in the eternal home with us soon. We are blessed to stand at the bloody cross and look up to our Savior and say, Abba Father, thank you. Yes, old Satan, and his Fallen Ones are busy in the deceptions and lies of the Islamic wars, etc., I pray for all the children to turn their hearts to our Lord and his power to change and renew hearts. Hosea 6:1-3 Rain on us, yes! And for my Jewish brothers and sisters, Isaiah 4, 2-3
I say this to others who are afraid these days, lost homes, and lost jobs, some worried about the war in Middle East I send them here –
1 Peter 4:12-13, and yes we are blessed this day, Amen and Amen, Kristia, sister in Christ’s Spirit, bless you Jack Hook

I am an antiwar vet who served with the marines…I
was denied ocs due to my ethnicity….as for Jesus…
that’s for only you and God to argue about…Killing
another human being in the name of God puts us in
danger. God sent angels out if heaven when they
thought of humans as less than them….and we KILL
humans in HIS name? Sorry…don’t agree…

Vietnam was a political war controlled by politicians in Washington D.C……It is ironic to me that not one politician has ever been prosecuted for war crimes and they are always quick to point out that we lost the war….Since you were an officer and I was a Sp/5 Air Traffic Controller..I guess we view the war a little differently…I believe some of the same tactics used in Vietnam are being used in the middle east conflicts….
My little brother is making his fourth deployment to Iraq and had two deployments to Bosnia……
I do find it interesting that nearly everyone I came in contact with believed in GOD…We also had prayer and supported an orphanage next to the compound…….I will always remember the Catholic Sisters and the Thanksgiving Meal..We were allowed to carry as many kids as we could carry to eat Thanksgiving Dinner….That might have saved my sanity for just a break in that awful war…..
We were so very proud of the Cobra and Maverick gunships …Spooky 41 -C47 or DC3..I am writing you this letter because of the brave helicopter pilots and pilots that protected our lives… Now look at Vietnam …normalizing relations with America….It kind of irks me when some people say we did not accomplish anything…I never underestimate the power of an idea that is based on freedom…..I am going to be 65 years old 4 April …..It seems like yesterday I was in Vietnam….
Regardless we agree that Jesus Christ is Lord and God Bless America Forever…….Peace to you my Brother
and in case no one told you “Thank You” for your service…..

Have a Glorious Happy Easter…Love in Jesus Christ

Thanks for the contact. I do beleive in Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad, and all the other names given to GOD. I do not belong to any specific religion, but rejoice in them all. I do not find the need to seek God in a church, I live. God is all around and in me. We speak directly every moment. To those who do need some group, doctrinal, support, I say good for you. If you too feel the devine in your life, then we are truly one. Keep up the good work.

Hi,
I read your e-mail at a very critical time. My son will be 13 and has always talked of being a Marine. He also has interest in being a sniper. This is due to my family having a long history of the military. My mother instilled in us that every male should serve his country and every female be involved in Community Service.
Last week in the car we were discussing committing murder. That even though he would be in the military that it is still murder. This is such a terrible way to say it. I never met my Uncle who is MIA/POW, this tore my family apart. I was born in 1974 when things were coming to an end.
I know we are to have faith as small as a mustard seed and that we need to accept and pray for Gods will and not our own. Could you help me so I can help my son? We attend Church but are not consistant and am trying to strenthen my walk with Christ. I have three sons and fear for them. I know I should not and leave it in Gods hands.
This world is only going to continue on a downward spiral and no one person can stop it. I just want to lead my family in the right direction.
I believe all things happen for a reason, the people you meet etc. I would appreciate your input on this matter. This is something he has always been consistant on wanting to do. Thank you so much…

Have you forgotten that King David was a man of war? That God is also a God of war. That evil has to be fought, not just the perils of war but the decline of morals in our country! Men, women and children are being preyed upon! There are physical battles as well as spirituals that have to be fought!!!

Jack – I too am a Vietnam veteran. I am “interested” in your story and will be checking out your web site. I am a life long Christian (Roman Catholic) but have “strayed” from formal church attendance – for which I have certain guilt feelings about. However – I still live a very “Christian-like” life and consider myself a very good person as a husband, father and neighbor. Your story has piqued a certain curiosity in me – perhaps we’ll talk sometime. Gary

My husband, David G., died Jan. 2007. He was a disabled Vietnam Veteran and only 56 years old. He is buried in the Natchez National Cemetery & it was very disturbing to see how many Vietnam Veterans have died in their mid 50’s. I think this should be a story for a documentary to try to learn why so many die so young.

Hi Jack

Yes we are friends and brothers forever also we a Brother in Christ..in 1988 my life was in turmoil
I didn’t know where or what to do. I am actually from MS the bible belt..a friend of my mother asked
me to go to a revival with at and Old Time Baptist Church, I was reluctant at first but I went..As I listen
to the word I felt something that I had never experienced before. I was actually overwhelmed and broke
down. A week later I was Baptized and accepted Jesus Christ a my savior and my life changed immediately.
I have sent all my friends and some of the men I was in Vietnam with your web site.

Your Brother in all ways.

Right on Brother, Remember this date, 12/23/2012, keep that in your mind. The sun will rise in the Eye of God on that day.
The Jihadists started this war, the moderate muslims (if that is possible) support it.
We either win or we go back 14 centuries.
Yahweh and Joshua shall return and put a stop to all this.

Hi Jack thanks for the email. I have been reading your
site and it is great that there are so many people
living their life in Christ. In this world of cynics
and grabbiing materialists, one feels hopeful. I will
be in touch again Don C. (Scotland)

I think that although Jesus had every reason to take up arms against his
Roman overlords, he did not set that “Freedom Fighter” example for us.
He even rebuked Peter for cutting off the ear of someone who was
arresting him, and he turned and healed the ear of that military man who
was :”just following orders”. Jesus was a wholly different kind of
warrior, and I believe we are meant to follow his example and turn away
from violence to our neighbor even if he hates us. We must teach by
example, and it goes so against our grain that only God Himself can give
us the strength.
I do not believe that your average young courageous soldier who lays
down his life for his friends is a Christian model. He is courageous,
and sometimes he means well, but he checks his own judgment and
conscience at the door when he lets someone else tell him who to kill,
and he harms the innocent, thinking he is serving God. A medic is a much
better example of someone who lays down his life. He goes unarmed, and
often helps all wounded people, the enemy or not. And he often dies. I
think that is more what Jesus wants from us.
My husband chose to stand trial rather than go to war in Viet Nam. When
he was tried, I had 3 small children and was very pregnant with the 4th.
I was proud that he had the courage to serve his country in that way. He
had a full scholarship to Canada for graduate school at the time, and
even though it would have paid everything, even our living expenses, we
chose to stay in the USA and serve according to our conscience. I am
very proud of my husband, and was at the time. The FBI man who arrested
him in handcuffs even told me he thought we had a wonderful family. But
of course there were others who were just the opposite. I had no idea
how I would get by with him in jail, but I supported him with all my
heart. His parents were shamed. and told me not to move near them with
the children while he was in jail because people would talk They were
Christians of a different sort. I loved them, and forgave them, but do
not think they appreciated the morality of their son, who refused the
label conscientious resister because he did not consider himself to be a
complete pacifist.
I did not experience anything about the 60s as shameful, but instead as
a time to lay my faith in Jesus as I understood Him on the line in spite
of the consequences to myself. I think you need to take another look at
the 60s. There were many good people who are still scorned from those
days. Marylee

Mr. Hook,
Glory to God for all things.
first of all, i do not know where or how you got my email address. Second, though i do agree with some of what you are saying, some of it your a bit misguided. Please take no offense. i belong to the original Holy Orthodox Church, The only church in existance for the first 1,000 years. The church that put the bible together for you. the church that Christ himself established on earth. The ONLY church that is the same today as it was 2,000 years ago. Please consider the TRUE history of the church when doing your research. Please remember, the Holy Orthodox Church was started prior to there even being an actual bible.
I pray for you my friend and may the Lord our God guide you.

Dear Jack, Thanks for the note. I am not religious, period. All wars have involved religion, the love of fatherland, etc. They all have a bad guy! They all have a general fear. And they all have a triggering “happening”. In Vietnam, where I was a Marine Corps pilot (RF-4B Phantom II’s) the fear was communism, the bad guy was Ho Chi Minh, and the triggering happening was the Gulf of Tonkin Incident: that never happened. What is true is that Johnson, a six-shooter toting Texan, and his wife Lady Bird, were connected with Brown and Root construction, one of the BRJ-RMK companies that did all the construction in Vietnam. The BR is for Brown and Root. Now, the same south Texas forces are involved again: Bushes name; It is run by Cheney, CEO of Haliburton, one of the largest oil companies in the world. Haliburton bought Brown and Root and the same people are involved in Iraq. The fear was Terrorism; the bad guy was Hussein; the triggering happening was WMD (weapons of mass distruction) and they wern’t there. The moslems are just as good as us. They have families, want a better future, want education for themselves and their youths. Some zealots get hold of their government sometimes due to our meddling in their affairs: as in Iran when our CIA got rid of their leader Mosedegh, and put in the Shaw. He had secret police, killed lots of people, but we got cheap crude. Over time, a movement developed, a polarizing movement, that was able to get rid of the Shaw. We then befriended Huessein and he had a war against Iran for many years to a great degree with out weaponry. It was a stalemate with a few hundred thousand causualties on each side. The Kurds in Northern Iraq want their independence, and some helped Iran. Hussein gassed some of them. Well, that isn’t laudatory, but bombs, bullets or gas, in a way it doesn’t make any difference. When one of our F-18’s puts a laser guided bomb into some town, even if it is on target, probably 80% of the individuals killed are innocents and we have done it hundreds or thousands of times. We went to war in Iraq for oil: period! Nothing to do with democracy, etc. one cannot stuff that down a country with the barrel of a gun. The sorry thing is that the youth of America does not know much about politics, history, or anything and being honestly naive they go to war thinking they are doing something good, when they are just “doing the dirty work for economic-politicians.

I do not think that many people in the world would dislike us if we did not earn it. All our embasies are becoming armed camps. Two years ago I traveled to nine countries and that is the way it is. We have great people in this country. All countries do. Unfortunately, many countries like ours, have crappy leaders. There are very few statesmen in the world.

I think that most countries go to war with a religious-cultural motive, in part or en-total. That is one reason I do not think religioius at all. When Bush went to war for oil, he talked about God and Country, etc and has courted the religious right. Now, of course as he is leaving soon, he doesn’t bother. He is about as religious as a stone. He has killed a few hundred thousand Iraqi’s, for “democracy”, what nonsense.

We should pull all our troops home, negotiate with all nations, not become embroiled in area conflicts or intra-country squables. All countries have to deal with their own political issues. We did in the civil war. The youngies of the late 60’s and seventies were right!, get out of Vietnam, let them deal with their own problems. I went back in 2005 and the country is progressing fast. Free Enterprise reigns. In a generation the commies will be dead. We just set the country back thirty years, killed a few million as we were assisting those who were tight with the French during colonial times. Thieu, Kao Key, Diem, etc.

I met three Iranian physicians at a conference in Moscow last September. We talked quite a bit. They basically said: we have a great people in our country as you have, unfortunately we have crummy leaders. Ah men! Don’t listen to all the crap you hear spun about the Moslems. During history the christians have always fought the moslems due to cultural clashes. Some of that is still going on. Religion connected with government is the cause. We are supposed to have a division between church and state: we need to make it firm. Everbody should have freedom to think, pray, dream as they want. But government should just respect all people and their private thoughts. I am an atheist. Sounds bad. I just think it means A-Theism. Not theistic. That means I just don’t think us humans can know enough about beings in the sky or where the world came from. Just can’t. Many people have thoughts, theories, etc. but no one knows.

Later, Lance.

Hi Lance,

Thanks for responding to my invitation and for sharing your testimony. It is an honor to meet you and the respect I have for you, and men like you, is not measurable. I love veterans and want them to know the truth Like you, there was a day I was without faith that the Lord Jesus Christ is the “only” way to eternal life. Before becoming an atheist after the Vietnam war, I examined most religions and studied them in college. Like you say, they have a base of agreement, but differ wildly when it comes to eternal life and how to achieve it. Very confusing, so I ignored them all, including my own, Christendom. To me all religions, including most of Christendom, were counterfeits, and I still feel that way today. For religions are all man-made attempts to please their God through their own self-righteous works, and as I said, even most of Christendom has bought into the lie that we are capable of working for our salvation. The true God wants a personal relationship between himself and every person who he deeply loves and wants restored to his Kingdom. Jesus is the only way!

However, I finally realized I was throwing the baby out with the bath water when I became an atheistic New Ager after returning from my year in Vietnam. I started reading the New Testament on my own and asked that if there was a God, who supposedly wrote this book, to reveal himself to me as I was reading it. I discovered from both the Old and New Testaments that the person of Jesus Christ as God coming in the flesh to love and offer forgiveness to all men, is the whole point of the scriptures.

The confusion and seeming contradiction of the scriptures then disappeared in my mind. For I discovered that Jesus Christ did come from Heaven as the only God/Man and shed his blood for my sins, and most of all rose from the dead with the promise of his return to make the world right. That day is near!

The answer to everyone’s question of why so much evil is loose on the Earth today is answered in the scriptures. First, Adam and Eve willfully rebelled against the Lord by listening to the lies from Satan, the leader of many fallen angels. We all inherited this sin nature and the fallen angels stir the evil desires in us all in order to destroy and kill. God the Father loves his creation so much he became a man to sacrifice his life, represented by his blood, that you and I can be set free from the power of sin. Jesus is alive and returning bodily to this war-torn planet to imprison the millions of fallen angels that are loose and causing what you see on television every day.

I hope my online book and articles help you in understanding the greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Keep in touch, and thanks again for your well-written and courteous reply.

Your new eternal friend.
Jack

Dear Jack,

I do not particularly care for everlasting life. It is reaction to fear and insecurity. No one knows if anyone has managed everlasting life; it is fantasy. I do not particularly think that what some humans wrote and rewrote and reinterpreted and rewrote and wasn’t put into a printing press until 1500 years after it was compiled, much longer for some of it, and then think that makes it so truthful, completely. All religions have an “old book” to give the sense of wisdom and surity to their message. If God was all powerful we would have heaven on earth, so to speak, but we humans keep stealing from each other, killing each other, raping each other and we do it “better” than before in the Stone Age, because of collective economic creativity and nationalistic organization. Don’t you think that both sides in our civil war were as “christian” as the other? Sure! Sure, the bible, the Koran, the Bagavad Gita, Buddah’s book, and every other religious tome has common sense, wisdom of the ages, etc. They bring forth nearly the same in principles of behavior. There is alot of mean spirited stuff in the bible also: God slayed 100,000 Assyrians, etc. I have never thought that it was a big deal that Jesus was killed by the Romans. Goodness, he was causing, counseling for a change of the religion of the time. Anyone in society who counsels change gets crucified: religious change, political change, scientific change, etc. Lots of people have died. People, millions of them have been slain for nationalistic ideas. Millions of people have been slain for Christianity even if Jesus preached “turn the other cheek”. People do not behave as he taught: the Crusades, the recent Balkan Wars, the Iraq war, Vietnam War, Korean War, WW II, WW II, etc. : all in the name of Christianity: kill those heathens (Catholics, Protestants, Lutherans, Moslems,Buddists, Shintoists, etc.: We have killed well over three hundred thousand Iraqi’s: all in the name of Jesus, God (ours), Fear (terrorism), and we violate or own principles of morality, freedom and democracy daily, and it is fueled by our own fear. People have died for fighting for their own families when attacked. Members of Christian societies have slew other societies, our own indian tribes, for example, by the millions. Do you not think most of the Germans that we killed with fire bombing attacks were nice people, christian people, sure they were. All societies got taken over by mentally sick leaders, and we have been taken over by our share and we have a couple in power now. Whether people become power hungry to satiate their insecurity or become philosophically (religiously) hungry to satiation their need for security, it makes little difference and if both are put together it makes for war. Every war monger invokes God. The moslems, christians, Nazis, Axis powers, Japans leaders before and during WWII, Churchill, Roosevelt, all invoked God to help them. The American Indian leaders, medicine men and individual worriors were very religious and invoked god to help them and interpreted dreams as messages Daily. Read some very interesting books by James Willard Schultz. One is “Blackfeet and Buffalo”. Another one is “My Life as an Indian”. Really, everyone is interpreting God with a self-centered view: their geographic, historical, and culturally prejudicial view. I do not particulary want to change anyones view. I would not write to anyone about my atheistic view. I feel that proselitizers proselitize due to their own deep-down insecurity; they are not really sure of their own philosophical position, so they just run around proselitizing and hoping in their hearts that many will agree with them or take on their view, if they are not sure of their mental-emotional position, as an indication of approval. We should have philosophical freedom. We should have, however, separation between church and state: even our coinage should leave off “In God We Trust”, the pledge of allegiance the same. The reason is that those should be for all Americans, not just christian ones, because by having such slogans it is getting into a specific religion. All people should have individual religious freedom but not make it governmental. I do not think there is any God: I do not have the brain power to “know”! Some things we just do not know, and cannot know. If someone thinks there is a God, my mama and lady friend do, honestly and intently, that is o.k. with me. I do not care if they call him Buddah, christian God, moslem God, Sun God, it just doesn’t matter, because all people who have a God concept are talking about the same concept. To think that the God concept will intercede personally is an age-old desire: especially the American Indians had that idea: all of them. Read the book I mentioned, it is very illuminating, interesting, and enjoyable for its own right. I think that religious stuff is personal. I do not care to change anyones mind concerning their own beliefs; it is a personal thing. So, please do not write to me about religious stuff, I do not particularly want to write back as I have. If you have satisfaction and emotional good feelings from Christianity, that is good. I have good feelings and satisfaction from atheism. I know that not all people have had a chance to study history, comparative anatomy, genetics, astronomy, physics, the science of evolution, medicine, chemistry, biochemistry, and who have flown at 50,000 feet and seen the world from that aspect, so they have a view of nature from their perspective. Must go. Semper Fi, Lance

Brother Jack,
Israel was called out of every nation under the sun on the day of Pentecost. Israel in the Middle east is antichrist, Zionism, which is communism. I pray for all people to accept Jesus Christ but I pray for the antichrist government in the Middle East to fall. These people believe in the Talmud which is more corrupt than the Koran.

I pray for the Israel of God and not for the unholy, and ungodly Israel of the Middle East. You truly love antichrist and have been deceived. How sad I pray for you that your eyes may been opened. You are deceiving many and work against God himself.

In Christ Jesus,
daniel

Hello Jack,

After reading your most recent essay I’m compelled to write and offer my own support. You have, I’m sure, gotten a great deal of hate mail because you don’t hold up America as God’s own country. I too have become highly un popular in my community with some because of my comments I’ve made regarding this country of ours, how corrupt it truly is. Americans are utterly convinced by all the propaganda they’ve been subjected to their entire lives that America is the greatest country the world has ever known and will endure because we’re so great. You cannot convince most here in this culture of anything else.

I am completely in agreement with you about militant Christianity in this culture and how so many “Christians” are really just highly patriotic nationalist and NOT Christian. Just lately I’ve had two arguments with these “Christians”. One, a middle aged man, is convinced that God would love America even more if we would just level Iraq with our military might and then force the Christian faith upon those people. In his twisted mind it would not matter how many of them we kill because they are not Christians. I kid you not. By the end of our argument he was treating me with a great deal of hate because I was advocating love and peace, not his twisted version of Jesus, and he called on me to go outside the coffee shop so we could settle our disagreement with our fists!! Hmmm, were did Jesus fist fight? I missed that part of the Bible. The other man, an older guy in his 70’s, was very much in favor of torture. His rational was that Jesus wants us to protect our country with whatever means necessary because we are the only true Christian nation in the world and Jesus would want us to protect “his” country. I tried to point out that Jesus was the one tortured, not doing the torturing and hence it would be like taking the side of those that killed Jesus. Of course I made no progress at all.

I’ve believed for years now that we have a very sick culture here in this country, not just because of homosexuality and abortion Jack, but all the other illnesses this culture suffers from in spades such as money worship and love of violence. In fact one of the differences I have with you is the overkill you place on homosexuals and abortion. I read the Bible, and the Gospels specifically, and see a Jesus that is far more concerned with the worship of money and the love of violence. Where Jack does Jesus speak out against gay sex or abortion? He never mentions either even once. Yet American Christians are obsessed with these two subjects and then NEVER talk about the obsession with money or violence, both subjects that Jesus spoke of in the Gospels numerous times. In fact taken in their totality the Bible speaks out against the love of money far, far more than gay sex or abortion. Why do American Christians ignore this condemnation? Because America is a nation that worships money, not Jesus, and this is why it is ignored. I’d love to hear you speak out more about this issue since it is what Jesus himself showed the most concern with.

Anyway, I just wanted to lend my support to you, to let you know there are other’s out here that share your views regarding the country in the hopes it will offset a little all the hate mail I’m sure you get. Hang in there and remember we’re out here.

Peace to you,

Kevin

Excellent article…FYI….Add Pastor John Hagee to this list. None of the money he collects for israel goes to any of the jewish believers in Yeshua / Jesus. He believes in a double covenant, one for them and one for us. My question to him and anyone “who was Jesus speaking to when he said you must be born again?” !!!! He came for the lost sheep of Israel.
