Everyone I talk to; (Real Christians, no-so-real Christians and some unbelievers) are all grieving. Not for Romney or the Republicans; not even the fact that Obama won…but that this election showed all of us that this once “Christian” nation has decidedly rejected God. If anything, everyone is finally realizing to one degree or another that we have all put too much faith in this political process and now we have to trust God. Imagine that. (You’ve been saying as much for quite some time now.)
Who knows the future but the Lord. I guess we may be getting a real life experience on what it was like for the Jews carried away to Babylon or the early Church living under Rome’s rule. At any rate, Revelations gives a clue as to what we should be doing…

If you are interested, check out one of his books, The Last Word on the Middle East, for where I stand. Prophecy being what it is, I have a habit of hanging varied points on a nail in my mind waiting to see what the outcome is. I’m sure you understand that the test of a Prophet is if the prophecy comes true or not. As to a prophet in error, well, I leave that up to God. I don’t make judgments. I have decided to follow Jesus and this seems inconsistent with what I am
taught. I believe in what he says about love and having one master. However
I don’t fall for the Darby interpretation of the Bible either.
I feel so alone with my beliefs being so far different than most. I feel it
harms the closeness of my relationship with God and makes it harder to teach
my children.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for responding. As I understand things concerning the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, his return will be pre-millennial. This is the only conclusion one can have “if” you read the scriptures literally as they are written by the Holy Spirit through his apostles and prophets.
It is not Darby’s interpretation, it is the Lord’s. If we read the scriptures in any other way nothing but confusion exists as men seek to find their own interpretation. Revelation 18-20 clearly teaches that Jesus will come at the end of the 70th week of Daniel, a seven year time of judgment, to judge the nations and then set up his 1000 year rule upon the earth.
Obviously there are some symbolic terms used in the Revelation but these are further defined in a literal sense as we read the prophecies of Daniel, Jeremiah, and others. This is what the Apostle John was doing as he was moved by the Holy Spirit to write the Revelation of Jesus Christ and the manner of his second coming.
I hope my online book written in 1980 and current articles help you even more in understanding the greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ, his shed blood for our sins, and his glorious resurrection.
As I said there is coming a day when the Lord will return in judgment and then imprison the fallen angels who are temporarily allowed by God to rule the nations because of the Adamic sin nature of all men. Until that day of judgment we are to call all men to repentance, to love and offer forgiveness to the worst of our enemies, even those who wish us dead. Keep in touch.

Not to be contrary but no one in the church believed in the Darby interpretation for 1800 years until Darby came around. Darby himself was not of the belief that Christians should put down the sword from anything I can read.
What I appreciate about your writings is the view of God’s kingdom versus the kingdoms of this world. I too have served in the military and would never serve again as it is contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Love your neighbor/enemies is given lip service in church but American patriotism trumps the teachings of Christ.
Keep up the good work and keep the light bright so other Christians can come out of the idolatry which is patriotism. We can serve one master.
