Dear Jack,

The God-given you refer to as Israel was CONDITIONAL. Yes they conquered it for a time with God’s divine assistance but the Jews lost their homeland due to their continual disobedience to God Joshua 23:6-13. This is plainly stated in the Scriptures. The Jews of today have no ‘right’ to any land any more than I do. The Jews of today’s Israel are predominantly atheist and very few are considered Old Covenant Jews. For one, their race is not pure as it once was. Also, Christians are God’s chosen people of today I Peter 2:9.
For the Truth,

Daryl

Thanks Jack pretty good reading. I dont think we have a lot to worry about from all these countries just look at what this country is doing to itself. I think we will destroy ourselves first. Look at the things we do for illegal aliens and muslims now and every day I see astounding things on the web and TV that tells me the end is not that far in the future. I appreciate you mailing things like this to me. Older yes aware always yes. Went through the cold war years mostly in the military. Did my time so to speak and am carefully watching Iran and North Korea, Pakistan for sure. We just keep giving and giving until one day there wont be anything left to give and that is when if there is anything left one of these countries will destroy us, probably wont see it in my day, but am sure my children will. Again thanks Rit Keep the faith

hi jack,
generally speaking, i think the us government is a warmonger and will never repent, so God will turn the tables whichever way He sees fit….but there are still so many righteous people in our nation that i am not convinced the united states will be destroyed…but, i may be wrong, as the events of revelation are cataclysmic..

YEA Jack,
Every September, I recall that is more than half a century (62 years) since I landed at Nagasaki with the 2nd Marine Division in the original occupation of Japan following World War II. This time every year, I have watched and listened to the light-hearted “peaceniks” and their light-headed symbolism-without-substance of ringing bells, flying pigeons, floating candles, and sonorous chanting and I recall again that “Peace is not a cause – it is an effect.”

In July, 1945, my fellow 8th RCT Marines [I was a BARman] and I returned to Saipan following the successful conclusion of the Battle of Okinawa. We were issued new equipment and replacements joined each outfit in preparation for our coming amphibious assault on the home islands of Japan.

B-29 bombing had leveled the major cities of Japan, including Kobe, Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama, Yokosuka, and Tokyo.

We were informed we would land three Marine divisions and six Army divisions, perhaps abreast, with large reserves following us in. It was estimated that it would cost half a million casualties to subdue the Japanese homeland.

In August, the A-bomb was dropped on Hiroshima but the Japanese government refused to surrender. Three days later a second A-bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki. The Imperial Japanese government finally surrendered.

Following the 1941 sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, a Japanese admiral said, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant…” Indeed, they had. Not surprisingly, the atomic bomb was produced by a free people functioning in a free environment. Not surprisingly because the creative process is a natural human choice-making process and inventiveness occurs most readily where choice-making opportunities abound. America!

Tamper with a giant, indeed! Tyrants, beware: Free men are nature’s pit bulls of Liberty! The Japanese learned the hard way what tyrants of any generation should know: Never start a war with a free people – you never know what they may invent!

As a newly assigned member of a U.S. Marine intelligence section, I had a unique opportunity to visit many major cities of Japan, including Tokyo and Hiroshima, within weeks of their destruction. For a full year I observed the beaches, weapons, and troops we would have assaulted had the A-bombs not been dropped. Yes, it would have been very destructive for all, but especially for the people of Japan.

When we landed in Japan, for what came to be the finest and most humane occupation of a defeated enemy in recorded history, it was with great appreciation, thanksgiving, and praise for the atomic bomb team, including the aircrew of the Enola Gay. A half million American homes had been spared the Gold Star flag, including, I’m sure, my own.

Whenever I hear the apologists expressing guilt and shame for A-bombing and ending the war Japan had started (they ignore the cause-effect relation between Pearl Harbor and Nagasaki), I have noted that neither the effete critics nor the puff-adder politicians are among us in the assault landing-craft or the stinking rice paddies of their suggested alternative, “conventional” warfare. Stammering reluctance is obvious and continuous, but they do love to pontificate about the Rights that others, and the Bomb, have bought and preserved for them.

The vanities of ignorance and camouflaged cowardice abound as license for the assertion of virtuous “rights” purchased by the blood of others – those others who have borne the burden and physical expense of Rights whining apologists so casually and self-righteously claim.

At best, these fakers manifest a profound and cryptic ignorance of causal relations, myopic perception, and dull I.Q. At worst, there is a word and description in The Constitution defining those who love the enemy more than they love their own countrymen and their own posterity. Every Yankee Doodle Dandy knows what that word is.

In 1945, America was the only nation in the world with the Bomb and it behaved responsibly and respectfully. It remained so until two among us betrayed it to the Kremlin. Still, this American weapon system has been the prime deterrent to earth’s latest model world- tyranny: Seventy years of Soviet collectivist definition, coercion, and domination of individual human beings.

The message is this: Trust Freedom. Remember, tyrants never learn. The restriction of Freedom is the limitation of human choice, and choice is the fulcrum-point of the creative process in human affairs. As earth’s choicemaker, it is our human identity on nature’s beautiful blue planet and the natural premise of man’s free institutions, environments, and respectful relations with one another. Made in the image of our Creator, free men choose, create, and progress – or die.

Free men should not fear the moon-god-crowd oppressor nor choose any of his ways. Recall with a confident Job and a victorious David, “Know ye not you are in league with the stones of the field?”

Dear Jack,

I don’t know how your email found my computer but I agree with your observations wholeheartedly. I have known for many years that this nation is going to be destroyed as it has turned its back on Jesus Christ in so many ways. Judgment is at the door, yet so few comprehend it.

Keep up the good work.

Hi Jack

I only have one concern about this post, and others related to it. You are preaching from your theological grid.

Israel is the people of God, and it has nothing to do with the modern “state of Israel”. Just ask Jews who live outside the that state, and they will tell you the “people of the book” bear no resemblance to the modern Zionist state that calls itself Israel.

Zionism is an enemy of Christ, and should be opposed by all bible believing and Christ confessing Christians. Zionism is just as racist as Nazism, and if you read and studied the roots of Zionism you would see that the Holocaust was to them a means to an end, a way to get for themselves a secular state called Israel. So Christians should not be support the state of Zionism that has taken away the biblical name “Israel” from those Old Covenant keeping Jews who are dispersed around the world.

The Palestinians are the inheritors of the land that was taken from them. They deserve their own nation.

The state of Israel is not a democracy. It is a totalitarian state that oppresses Palestinians and non-Jews, including Christians. Israelis who convert to Christ lose their citizenship and are considered “non-Jews”. The Zionist regime is not so different in its racial laws, and citizen laws than the fascists who perpetrated the genocide of the Jews in the Second World War.

I appreciate your emails, but personally I find dispensational eschatology to be totally in error. As such, I don’t view what goes on the world like you do, and there many more who don’t either.

I just wish Christians in N. America would wake up from all this blind allegiance to a secular racist state called Israel does not further the cause of peace in this world, and nor does it advance the Kingdom of God.

Blessings,
Sam

briefly, that’s great that you’re a nam vet and a christian, but neither gives you any special insight to current events.

the nation state of israel is a construct of satanic forces residing in both the uk (the rothschild zionists) and the apostate vatican.

did Jehovah allow it? yes. as He allowed all persecutors of His beloved.

today’s israel has nothing to do with the 12 tribes.

believers are not called upon to violently fight for anything. they are, however, called upon to spread the gospel.

when it comes time to save jerusalem from satanic reign–and this has nothing to do with the nation state of israel–jesus will return with legions of angels to take care of the situation.

the new covenant, under the grace won for us by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, sanctions no violence in the name of Jehovah. none.

we should undertake the great commission and forget this nonsense about the preferred status of israel, except that they who live there, as others around the world, need to hear the gospel and accept Christ as Savior.

there is nothing chosen about those who call themselves political citizens of today’s israel.

all need to repent and be saved. everywhere

Dear Jack,

Hello again! I just finished your last e-mail and found it somewhat troubling to say the least. I hadn’t realized we were on some type of time frame as to when the end of days will happen. As far as looking at current events and seeing in them certain things that are happening now as signs of the end of times just seems a little crazy. I think people are a little tired of hearing that the end is near for the last couple thousand years every time some series of bad events happens. It’s pretty much worn out by now because it’s been promised so many times in the past. It would also seem to me that you and many others are looking forward to this end of times. I for one would like to see this world go on for as long as it can. I think there are quite a lot of people that are turned off by your type of thinking. It’s like hurry up and die, so you can go home. When the end comes there will be no mistaking it for a run of bad luck or bad decisions made by leaders of the world. I think anything that can be done to push that end day as far ahead as possible, should be done. In other words we are the ones who’ll decide when the last day comes and it’s not predestined to be a some specific time. You got it set up like an egg timer, 3 minutes and bang its all over. It’ll happen when we make it happen. So these scare tactics don’t work and they never will again. We’re all a lot smarter today Jack. It’s great that you love Jesus and God and have such strong faith but it to bad your running around like chicken little. There are a lot of good things to do in the world today, so push your followers into doing that good.

WRONGO! If you are a Catholic and understand TRUE MARIAN DEVOTION you will find Christ and become more docile and obedient. Mary will keep you from impurity and teach you to pray better if you REALLY KNOW HER! SHE WAS THE GREATEST APOSTLE! THE FIRST CHRISTIAN “RAPTURED” AND THE EPITOMY OF WHAT WOMEN TODAY SHOULD BE ACTING AND “DRESSING LIKE”!

We have had a culture change brought on by the Jewish rebellion to exclude the WORD OF G-d from their lives. THE REBELLED AGAINST BIBLICAL WAYS AND HENCE THE ENTIRE WORLD HAS BEEN DECEIVED!

Yes, America will be demised IT HAS TO BE AS G-D HAS NO LOVE AFFAIR WITH OUR COURTS, JUDGES< LAWYERS< POLITICIANS AND POLITICAL PARTIES WHATSOEVER!

THIS NATION WAS MADE A MELTING POT AS THE ROMAN EMPIRE WAS BROUGHT HERE BY THE DISPORA IN EUROPE OF MANY NATIONS!

PRESENT DAY AMERICA IS NOT THE KINGDOM OF G-D BUT A MONEY MAKING JUDICIAL TYRANNY MACHINE!

They Jews found an easy life by the WORK OF THE PEN not the SWEAT OF THE BACK.

ZIONISM HAS DESTROYED AMERICA AND ZIONISM IS WHAT AND WHO PUT BUSH INTO OFFICE!

THE GREAT SATANIC LIE OF AMERICA WILL COME TO AN END!

BUSH WILL BE REMOVED AS OUR LEADER SO THAT OUR CHILDREN CAN HEAR THAT G-D ANSWERS PRAYERS!

THEY HAVE YET TO SEE A LEADERSHIP THAT WILL ENDORSE THE WORD OF G-d AND TELL THE WORLD THAT AMERICA HAS ENDED ABORTION AND THAT “DIVORCE” IN THE BIBLE IS TERRORISM!

BUSH DID NOT COME TO BRING LIBERTY BUT TO ENSLAVE THE ENTIRE WORLD BY LACK OF JUSTICE!

G-d WANTS A RIGHTEOUS NATION! A KINGDOM BUT CERTAINLY NOT THE UTOPIA PLANNED BY OUR RIGHTS FIGHTS CIVIL WARS AND CIVIL RIGHTS CONTESTS!

THE ZIONISTS WITH THEIR HEARTS SET ON PROMOTING “SOCIAL JUSTICE” DID NOT DO THE WILL OF G-D BUT BROUGHT COMMUNISM TO OUR LAND!

ABORTION AND DIVORCE WERE THE HEART OF COMMUNISM AND STILL ARE

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMERICAN JURISPRUDENCE AND COMMUNISM!

CAPITALISM AND COMMUNISM ARE THE SAME DESTRUCTIVE FORCES OF EVIL!

Hi Jack,

Thank God for the internet for Believers can communicate more effectively.

I too am pro-Israel and receive David Silver’s weekly email.

I am also very much in Biblical prophecy and watch the world events to see (if can) how they line up. I shall certainly be adding your webiste to my list of Favourites and will catch up regularly,

I too left the service in 1949 as an atheist. Now, nearing the end of my life,
I have changed to being an open minded agnostic.

After researching over 4,000 pages of religious and philosophical
writings, I wrote the attached “Bible.” I am convinced your “Jesus Christ”
religious fanatics are in the business for the money and for the power.

Anyone reading the Koran will realize, after sifting out the blind faith
comments, that it makes more sense on how to live than the Jewish-
Christian Bible.

My comments on the Mormon religion and gullibility of people are in the
“Age of Reason, II” attached.

The only religion with no logic in the hereafter but good advice on the here-in
is Far Eastern Philosophy.

Marx was wrong, though every “Chrisitan” and “Jewish” nation has adopted
all but two of Marx’s goals.

Mao was wrong through lack of education and economic understanding.

The Kama Sutra is 2000 year old marriage counseling that narrow minded
Puritanical zealots fail to teach their children, forcing continued ignorance
and the stupidity of government control of healthy lives.

The thought that some being would establish laws by giving them to one
man strains the intelligence of anyone above average intelligence.

Approximately 80% of Americans express a belief in a god. With 50%
being below average intelligence, that leaves 30%. Many are in business,
and the long term jokes about Christians attending churce on Easter and
Christmas verify that many profess belief for business purposes and to
cover their social obligations. That leaves the top twenty percent of the
intelligent citizens that think.

Anyone that believes in prayer should answer one question: “If prayer is
effective, why did 6 million Jews die in Germany?”

Good luck in your business, but cease and desist sending spam.

Good Grief!!. I was going to make a comment about you and I and viet nam. I served 22 years in the USAF from 1955 to 1977…right thru the damn thing and never went. I went where the Air Force sent me and if there choice was to send me somewhere else them so be it. I DID do my duty. I followed orders. I don’t feel guilty at all. I do feel a termendous sympather for those who gave their lives and I DO think that Jane Fonda should have been put on trial for aiding and abetting an enemy of the USA in a time of war.

I am not much on Jesus and Christianity.

I do agree that we should wipe out ISLAM….it will be too late one day. I hope i am gone when that day comes. It will be the dark agess all over again. The first time was brought on by Christianity. Let’s don’t let it happen again.
There are any number of people who will argue with you about the role of Jesus. Moslems, Hindus, Buddahists, Jews…just to name a few. That makes up a good portion of the population on earth. Are they all wrong?

Hello Jack – first, thank you for sharing your experience with me and referring to me as a friend. I do appreciate that a lot. In reading your story I fail to see it as a confession. You have done what you could then, fulfilled your duty to our country, you did not desert. Guilty for serving in the Army? Please, there is nothing more noble than the sacrifices American service men endure during the time of war. On that subject we can exchange philosophies if you wish, but for now Jack I will briefly share this with you – be proud of your service I am very proud of mine.

Thanks for the Christian message Officer Hook. I was in Vietnam, Saigon for 1 yr. Apr. 62-63. I am grateful that I was a Christian there away from my wife for that year. The only action I saw was when a Viet Cong threw a grenade thru the front door of the hotel and it landed between GI’s. I would have been one of them if the Lord had not, just a moment before, turned me around to go up and get my Christian brother Ron Hazzard to go to the movie with me. I do not know if those 2 men lived or not. The Lord has saved my butt many times and it must be because I have had to learn the hard way what it is to be a Christian husband, father, neighbor, employee, and church member. God picked a lifetime of work when HE drew me to Himself–but HE is endless in His love and mercy and empowerment. You have a website with a good gospel message from what I can see.
Are you familiar with Chaplain Merlin Carothers? If not he has a website as well. His first book From Prison to Praise is a wonderful classic. I am putting you into my address book Jack.

p.s. were you known as “Captain Hook”?

————————————————–

Those things you are thinking about have been the thoughts in my mind for years. I have studied privately the holy scriptures and apokryphal sources for years. I have done research on the Nephilim and fallen angels. I also have studied history and politics in depth. I am curious about where you found my name and email adress. I know i have made some comments on different pages but that was a while ago. I have saved your webpage on favorites and i will read it when i have more time and feel better (have catched a cold, influenza). I have some corrospondance with other authors on internet, actually one have the same name on his webpage as you do.. babylon.

The problem as i see it is that there is no unity in christianity, we dont know where the enemies are.
As you said in your letter, i also strongly believe that the great deception in the world are from the fallen angels.
There is no way humans can masterplan all different conspiracies in the world, you name it. 90 % of all conspiracy theories i believe are true. And it doesnt matter if some of them are false. That doesnt take away the real facts about these fallen angels. The real facts about for example lies on WTC 2001, lies on oklohoma bomber, Waco tragedi. Income tax fraud from 1913. Federal reserve creating money from air, moon landing fake and so on.
There are so many lies in this world, to comprehend everything is very painful.

But as i said earlier. Christians dont have a common enemy, they are tricked in many ways to attack smaller insignificant enemies, to attack friends. The person behind this deception is a highly wellinformed angel. Lucifer and the host of heaven, those 1/3 who fell.. And just recently i accept the fact that not all of them are humans in the sense of being children of God and have human features. Some could be Alien grey joining satan, or those alien greys are just fallen human angels with a mask. But they exist. yes. no doubt.

All i can say is that we need to obey the commands from Jesus Christ and our father in heaven. We should give knowledge and light to eachother about the real enemies in the world. Bush for example, he is a liar, but he is not the antichrist.

I will get back to you later, feel free to comment.

Take care.

————————————————–

Jack, I went back to your website and the home page came up that time. For some reason, it didn’t the first time I went to the site. – I didn’t sign the guestbook or write comments as I don’t feel like I know all that much, and it’s your website and I didn’t want to throw in a monkey wrench in seeming to disagree with your assessments. (I don’t know that you’re incorrect, nor that I am correct for that matter!)

Jack, I know a lot of people think there are a lot of things that have to happen before Christ can return in His glory. However, I believe that He can return at any time.

In studying Halley’s Bible Commentary and the prophecies in the book of Daniel with year/day explanations of the prophecies; it would appear that most of the things have already happened – except (in Ezekiel) maybe the invasion of Israel by Persia (Iran), an exercise in devastation in the wrath of God for Iran. The reference in the book of Daniel to the daily offering being taken away from the temple and the altar being desecrated has already happened under Antiochus Epiphenes centuries ago. The birth of the Messiah is also prophecied clearly in that passage, as is the destruction of Jerusalem (which happened in the year/day timeline just as Daniel wrote it).

So, I’m afraid that people looking for the building of another temple in Jerusalem before they get serious is dangerous in a way. – Sir Isaac Newton, one of the greatest scientific, and religious, minds of all time, figured up the prophecies and their fulfillment along year/day guidelines, and he surmised that the return of Christ coincides pretty much along the speculation of any time now, so we better get ready. I don’t know what the Rapture will be like, but I think we err when we speculate too much. Too many books are sold these days of the “Left Behind” variety for my taste.

Some Messianic Jewish scholars seem to think that mystery Babylon is more in line with the false religion of The False Prophet Mohammed and that the oil under Mecca will eventually be set aflame and the smoke arise in perpetuity. (For all its faults, this country has always stood with Israel, and it is one of the few that has consistently fed the hungry and clothed the naked of the world. My Daddy fought in WWII and liberated one of the Jewish concentration camps as well as going through hell to free the world from the madman, Jew-hater, Hitler.) – Halley agreed with your assessment of the Catholic Church, and I agreed with him that it had certainly been corrupted and deviated for many centuries and I was thankful not to have had to deal with all the stuff associated with Catholicism in my own personal life. (My husband’s brother and his wife are Catholic (she a German), so I can tell you that I am not enamored of all t hings Catholic, nor all things German either just from that angle of it. It has been rather trying in many ways, although I have tried to be pleasant with them as I’ve had to in order to keep relative peace in the family.) The church started out as just the church, then man took over and loused up and fell away. So, my solution is to simply not follow the Pope or attend mass; and for now I am sort of in limbo about finding a house church or small Christian fellowship in my area. I’m content to leave that in the Lord’s hands as I have suffered quite enough at the hands of “Churchianity” and organized religion in general, and some of that in the “Baptist” and Protestant realm of things.

Well, that’s just a few thoughts. I sure don’t know a whole lot, and right now my brain does well to just function on the daily requirements and responsibilities. I do like to read other people’s thoughts, though. It gives some additional angles of thinking and possibilities of how things might be.

Best Wishes,
Wanda

I have been attending a small church where my daughter
first started to go about 4 years ago. I’ve gone
about a year. They appear to be very conservative in
their dress, manners and all around fantastic
Christian living people. I like them on a personal
level very much. I find nothing to belittle about
them. They have 14 children. They homeschool. They
are self employed.
The problem that recently surfaced is this. The man
has taken to leading the church since the Pastor has
become to frail and ill to continue. About 9 months
now. He has said things that unsettled me in the past
but I thought maybe I heard wrong. Things like Jesus
went to build a mansion and it will have many rooms.
We are the rooms. He lives in us now. Jesus already
returned. The biggest one so far and which I am
currently discussing with him because I find it to
outrageous to fathom is that all will be in heaven.
If a person died unsaved through faith in Christ no
need to worry. He will be in heaven because God
doesn’t want anyone to perish and he will save all. I
cannot accept this. He says that hell is for a time
not eternal. Death will be no more which I agree with
but then he says that once death is gone all will live
who were dead. There is more but I think you get the
picture. It doesn’t seem to be strict Universalism
but a semi Universalism. What do you think? Is he on
the right track or should I run as fast as I can? My
oldest daughter will not attend anymore and I am about
to leave too but one other daughter is really
struggling because she is so close to them as they
have befriended her. Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

Dear Jack:
I am glad to hear from you! Have you read Col David Hunt’s books, “They Just Don’t Get It” and “On the Hunt”? They give many details about black operatons from the inside that all Americans should know and read about regularly. Most people do no appreciate the role the military play in the protection of this country nor do they have any idea of what all of you gave up to be in the military in the first place.

I really wish that the draft was mandatory–for both men and women. The fiber of this country would be stronger and more sharply in the interest of preserving our freedoms.

I can understand your feelings about the enlisted men. When one knows the difference, one is also aware of who is actually paying the highest price. Furthermore, if more officers were out in the field with their men, any complacency and feelings of entitlement would disappear very quickly.

I was privileged to work as a civilian with the Army years ago and came to have a very high regard for the enlisted men who were there and square 24/7 and took the brunt of lthe work. Their families have a hard life and I admire them tremendously also.

The Vietnam vets were never properly treated by the general public and it was so awful! They were the ones who didn;t cut and run when it came time for the draft. They were the ones who slogged through the jungle, hoping not to get shot form behind or knifed in the dark. They were the ones who went through the misery while the cowards stayed here and in Canada comfortable and safe.

All veterans should be honored every day of their lives for what they have tried to do in the name of duty, taking responsibility, and patriotism.

If you are interested in getting involved with a really magnificent enterprise to save this country, go to “Act for America”. Brigitte Gabriel also has a related website, “American Congress for Truth” which is wonderful. go there, Jak. I think you will be glad you did. There are chapters fo ACT for American forming all over the country. i am heading one here in Tacoma. I hope you will consider getting involved. Who better that military vets to be there and square?

We have to defend our Chrisitan faith to the death as well because the Muslim terrorists wish to destroy that as well.

Let me know what you think.

Blessings,
Persia

I was with the 1/28th Black Lions of the Big Red One! I agree with your belief in Christ and was raised in a southern Pentecostal church. However I do not agree that all wars are caused by sinful men on “both” sides. Was it wrong to step in and stop hitler from killing all of Jesus Christ’s people? I am 100% disabled from Vietnam and do not regret going and would go again, it was Lyndon Johnson that caused more deaths than the VC and that was a wrong sinful man, however the reason for the war was not all wrong and I believe Jesus himself had a few battles for the right reasons, such as driving the money lenders from the temple with a staff and others. We would not have Thailand or the Philippines now as allies if we had not stepped in to stop the so called domino effect. The Berlin wall would not have fallen if communism was aloud to flourish in Asia. I respect you views on Christ and am glad you turned from being an atheist but the old saying that nothing is good without moderation is very true in this instance. I believe in God and pray every day many times to the only God! But, I do not like it when someone says there is only one way. That would mean there will be just us in heaven, no Catholics,Jews, or others! I cannot believe that god only accepts one type of person, I believe he takes anyone who believes in him heart and soul and prays and worships him every day. I hope you do not take offense by this any more than I do not take offense by your comments. May God bless and keep you.

Jack, Fred here. I am a Vietnam Vet: 1966, 1969-70, and 1971-72
and Laos: 1970-71. Please do not feel ashamed to be in a room full

and we all did it well. We were a team and each one of us did what
we were told to do, and we all pulled together. This is what counted.
I was not an Officer, but a Sgt. I worked with many great officers in
those years. In Laos was Ltc Morrean and Col John Frye, in uniform,
and others that were like me in civilian clothes. I am 70 years old
now and have prostate cancer from Agent Orange. The VA has me
on 100% for now. Anyway, you are a Brother, A Vietnam Veteran

Hi Jack:

Your name rings a bell, but again it’s somewhat of a name that can easily be confused with other names of similar syllables. You were not clear as to where you located my name and e-mail address or the fact of being a Vietnam Veteran.

You definitely are couragous and adventurous to undertake such a potentially exhaustive, adventurous and controversial project; covering religion. politics, warfare, friendships, leadership and communication while passing on the word of a higher power as a disciple of Jesus Christ.; must assume that you’re a born again Christian?

May I recommend you research the “Knights of Malta”! Into their Core, not just their surface attributes and deeds.

Please provide me with info on how you received my name and e-mail address; then perhaps we can engage in philosophical ideation concepts of war, religion, friendships and the why of each opponent requesting the assistance of God to grant them favorable results.

Regards,
Charles

Good afternoon,

I have not at this point perused your website. That being said, as a Bible believing Christian, I feel my emphasis should be 1st upon my personal relationship with Christ, 2nd upon the burden of sharing the life saving Gospel to all. This must include a real living out of my faith in every area and includes a deep urging to assist the helpless, the lost, the destitute, starving multitudes. I find little comfort or Scriptural basis for expending energy into Biblical prophecy, particularly the dating of end-times.
We know from Scripture that none knows the time (of the end) and it serves truly no Scriptural purpose to wonder, study or even speak much about it (all the while people die and will end up separated from God).

Sincerely,
Joel

Thank you for your letter. I read it very carefully and agree with most of what you say. I am a Korean War veteran. I was a paratrooper and made one combat jump. My outfit made two, but I was in the hospital when they made the second one.

As you are probably aware, the Korean War is called “The Forgotten War,” and that with good reason. Did you know that in the first year of that conflict US forces had about 23,000 KIA’s? Most people are unaware of the brutality of that war. During the Vietnam War we never suffered more than 6000 KIA’s in any year. You probably did not know that in a 7 day period when the Chinese entered the war we had about 3700 KIA’s. Those losses matched Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and Saipan, and they very nearly matched the D-Day invasion.

I was there during that period and was wounded on 15 Feb 51. That wound ended my military career because I eventually received a medical discharge. But I am very grateful to that Chinese soldier that hit me because it eventually led to my conversion. About two weeks after my conversion in August of 1961, the Lord plainly spoke to me and told me that Christians cannot fight wars because we are soldiers in the army of the Prince of Peace. Our country is a heavenly country and our King is Jesus Christ. We are strangers and pilgrims just passing through this world and can have nothing to do with its wars, politics, entertainments, fashions, sports, or pleasures. We do not fight with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers.

I trust that the Lord will continue to lead you into the Truth as it is in Jesus.

I remain your friend in Jesus Christ,

James

Jack;
Thank you for the e-mail. Just curious where you found my name, I do not typically reveal much info.
Yes, I served in country, 1969 – 1970, US Navy, PBR Riverboat river Division 571. I was Boat Capt. on PBR 128.
I too lived with guilt and still do, not understanding why my Brothers didn’t come and I did.
I am a born again Christian and my relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ eases the pain. A few years ago, the Lord guided me to join the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Assn.. This group is all combat veterans, many Nam Vets. We are nationwide with nearly 3,000 members. I am the Commander of the Southern Missouri Chapter. Our mission is simple – we are ‘Veterans Helping Veterans’. We organize rides / runs to raise money which we donate to Veterans charity organizations. Being around these Veterans gives me a peace, as we all know we each have lived through our own personal hell. No-one questions another, if you want to talk about it, you can and there is always someone to listen.
Jack, don’t feel guilty, you did your job and served your Country – you should be proud, I am proud of you!
For years & years most of us withdrew into a ‘shell’, not wanting to be associated with Veit Nam. When Desert Storm happened, it was the Viet Nam Veterans who came out, stood up and let the country know that these soldiers were not going to be treated like we were when we came home. Since, it has just exploded, with the American people recognizing us. People come up to you and thank you for serving, we help Veterans charities, we ride to military funerals (Patriot Guard) showing our support and sense of loss to the families.
Shortly after 9-11, I went and talked with a recruiter – I was ready to go to Iraq (I still am), but was told I am too old. This evil of terriorism has to be defeated and if we are not fighting them over there, they are going to be here!
Well, I’ll quit and will share your letter with my family and Brothers.
I am proud to be a Vietnam Veteran.

WELCOME HOME BROTHER!

Darryl
