Once again I’d like to thank you for putting forth the Christian view so clearly and precisely. I too read the Late Great Planet Earth back in 1970’s when I was a teenager. If anything, it alienated me from any further investigation of Christianity at that time. I also completely agree with your view that American “Christians”, who view America as THE Christian nation, really need to take a long hard look in the mirror. I do think there was a time when America could nominally be referred to as a “Christian” nation, but that was MORE than 100 years ago. My colonial ancestors were anabaptist pacifists who helped found the “Brethren Church” in Amwell, NJ. But, like most American families, mine had completely drifted away from the TRUTH over the course of the 20th century. I was raised in a hollow shell of “christian-like” morality, without ever being introduced to the SOURCE. Neither I, my siblings, nor our parents were ever baptized. We never went to church. Like most 20th century protestants, my father subconsciously equated God’s blessings with the acquisition of wealth. He was a Mason. Half of my childhood memories of my father are of him puffing on his pipe, hands rattling change in his pocket, whilst carefully evaluating the dollar-value of some object in front of him (usually a prospective new car). We CANNOT serve BOTH God AND Money! Over the past 50 years America has become filled to capacity with rampant immorality. America has lost it’s way, and NOBODY can tell me that it still has a moral right to judge other nations such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran.
Your comments about the Pope’s speech are correct also. It is hypocritical of him to point fingers at Islam and say that it was spread by the sword. Was not Catholicism spread by the wars of Constantine, Charlemagne, the Crusaders and the Conquistadors? Of course! But, you see, the duality of Cchurch and state in the Christian world allows the Pope to preach pacifism whilst his secular arms are busy conquering! The Imams of Islam have no such luxuries.

Our Father is working through people like yourself to guide those to Him that He wishes to come, and He wants us all to come to Him.

Excellent…..I have to agree we are in a time that “only the strong will survive.” I think all thoughts of retirement basking on a yaught or playing golf everday is over for those that have opened their eyes to the fact that It’s not about us, but about God and God only. We have the saving power of Jesus Christ inside of us where the Greater One dwells. I have been taught for years “Spiritual Warfare”. Through the years I have found from experience that God is in charge and runs this whole show here on this earth….so the way my thinking is, is this: If I am approached by an intruder, meaning anyone sent by Satan to harm me….with the knowledge I have this is how I would handle the situation and believe me I have this root so deep that it’s as though you are looking at a large tree outside your home….go and try and push it over!!!! A gun to my head I would have to say “go ahead and pull the trigger if it is my time to go home than I will but since “no weapon formed against me shall prosper,” I suggest you look me in the eye and know that the “greater one in me is greater than the one in this world.” I “bind that strongman in the Name of Jesus and since you can see how great your God is operating against mine I will then let you know that you don’t have to go to hell, but I will explain to you why Jesus died for you….etc……I said to a Buddist one time in reference that his god was not anything compared to mine….he couldn’t even say the word Buddist and tried…..so I know the authority God gave us to be overcomers……of course we would not be overcomers if we didn’t have anything to overcome or have a testimony if we weren’t tested…..Life is getting interested and we just need our eyes on our Lord and only Him….I have a lot of friends in Mississippi, as I lived in Biloxi for quite some time…..lost homes and some family members…but they are very thankful people that they have not lost their lives….one friend said “that even though Katrina was awful and destructive, it brought him closer to His Maker and respects his family more.”…….I don’t know what God has for me to do these last days, but whatever He wants He will show me……My book tells about my relationship with God and how I had to let go and just let Him….well years of that puts a different outlook on life than I had years ago……thank you for your article. Hi Mr. Hook, Most of us, Christians, Catholics and Jews are confused about the Islamic Terrorists. Doug Giles wrote a very interesting column about God and Jesus. I must say after I read it, I felt empowered. Civilized people in this day and age really don’t know how to deal with their feelings about fanatics. But in Doug Gile’s column, he set us straight by telling us Jesus was not one to dismiss savages and fanatics by forgiving them. God and Jesus were crusaders against evil. We are empowered to pray that the guilty perish and the innocent flourish. When he said forgive your enemy, He didn’t mean those who beheaded innocent people. He didn’t give forgiveness to those who would murder children by placing bombs on them to destroy more innocent humans. He didn’t mean to forgive those who murder innocent men, women and children because they are of another religion or a different sect. We are dealing with terrorists who hate us, not a neighbor who is aggravating us. This is war and Doug Gile said to pray biblical imprecatory prayers against the Islamo-fascists.
What is an imprecatory prayer?
It is a prayer asking God to crush a clear enemy of His, an enemy which is an aggressive adversary of freedom and peace loving people. The Bible is filled with maledictions prayed by saints and speedily answered by Go against violently impenitent enemies of liberty and righteousness.
Example: “Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; tear out, O Lord, the fangs of the lions! Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted. Like a slug melting away as it moves along, like a still born child, may they not see the sun. The righteous will be glad when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.” Psalm 58.6-10
Doug Giles ended his column with these words: “So start tossing imprecatory prayers heavenward and watch what God does to militant implacable Islam. The celestial spank of terrorists is no big deal for God. And our prayers could save thousands of our soldiers’ lives, our citizens’ lives and the lives of innocent, moderate Muslims and others who get caught in the freak boys’ villainous crossfire. Let us pray.”
I’ve been praying for our military and all those tortured by these savages. Now I will ask God to destroy those who would harm innocent men, women and children.

Yours is an interesting commentary to receive on Yom Kippur. My take is that we need to be aware of what is going on in the world, but not drawn into what will make men’s hearts fail for fear. The divine play will continue and the characters listen for their cues and march across the stage. Who are we to seek to stop them?
I suspect the persons you mentioned (in your article “An Appeal to Hal Lindsey”) have so hardened their hearts that they are beyond repentence. As Yeshua said, “Follow me.”
OK, I am going to step out and be more harsh about this. They worship the image of the beast; that is, a false image of who Jesus is, a replacement that appeals to the flesh.
So, the most important issue is that those who do belong to him learn to hear his voice and recognize the “voice of another.”

Great timing Jack – Yesterday as I was driving, I had an epiphany of sorts – I began a sermon to myself that spoke of the prodigal son – and how he was lost while he had left his Father’s house to spend his fortune on the worldly pursuits of his day… Had he died during this period, he would have been lost – however, he returned into the arms of his Father who took him in – how many of us have been teased out of our Father’s house to ‘do the work of the Lord’ by becoming politically active, by supporting the neocon mindset, abortion fighters, gay marriage bashers, and on and on… Did Jesus ever once seem to care about the political scenery of his day??? You know Jack, those who have ears to hear and eyes to see will hear and see. I know those deep heart felt feelings that you talk of and can only come from the Holy Spirit. We are in the Latter days and the dispensation of times is upon us. The only thing I know to do is ask my Lord Jesus for deliverance and to do the right things during these up coming days of Daniels prophecies.
I’ve read what you have to say but still do not see a clear cut path or way that you give other than trusting the Lord my God with all my heart and all my strength. I am of the firm belief that this Great Whore Babylon (USA) will burn and be destroyed and I believe the Democrats in their arrogant ways are just the tool the Lord will use to allow this to come to past. The majority of this country (The Religious Right) is walking in absolute darkness anyway. A dear sister in Christ told me as we discussed this latter day church, and these were her exact words, “My Lord, we’re walking in darkness and obviously blind”. The modern day church is not even aware that they worship on the first day of the week and not God’s Sabbath which is a mark between Man and God.
There is no need to answer this e-mail Jack because you have more pressing things to attend. Pray for me if you will and I for you that the Lord Jesus will be our deliverance during these approaching dark days. I trust Him that He is my Savior in this life and the next and this life is but a whisper compared to the next. I too have seen the blood and gore of war in a place called Korea. While there in combat, as a born again believer, a member of the body of Christ, I saw myself as one who was in that land to help protect the Christian Koreans in the south.
Should I have abandoned them to the atheistic multitudes invading them from the north with the intent of killing them?
I see and hear in your reasoning’s that we as born again believers should not have police forces in our nation, let alone a military force since their only function is to uphold the Satanic design of this world. When Jesus met with the centurion and literally bragged about his faith as compared to the Jews, why did not Jesus condemn him for being a professional soldier?
Yes, I agree 100% that we are to pray for the salvation of those who are lost and world leaders. But are we to be poor stewards over the physical bodies the Lord has given us by letting them literally kill us while we stand mute like dumb sheep? I would see this as poor stewardship to say the least.
When one political party in my nation supports and finances the murder of unborn infants and the second political party does not, I will be found on the side of the second political party if for no other reason.

Thank you for responding and I appreciate and understand your comments. Most of us veterans have the same sentiments until we are confronted by Jesus Christ and his teachings. He told us to beware of false prophets who came as wolves dressed in sheepskin suits. He warns those who became his followers that fallen angels are the rulers of the world system and Satan offered the glory of them to Jesus. The Centurion and Cornelius, if they continued to follow in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, would have heard Jesus, Peter, and Paul say to them:
John 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
Mark 8:34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? 37Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 38If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Buzz, all of these scriptures prove what I have said that all nations are manipulated and controlled by the fallen angels and will be until the Lord Jesus returns to chain them in Hell for 1000 years, Revelation 20. Until that day we are to walk as Jesus walked and realize that all men are born with a sin nature that Jesus wants to save them from. We are all born with the wrathful, lustful, and proud nature of Satan, 1 John 2:16, Ephesians 2:1-7. Jesus came to save us from that and not the evil boot of the Roman Empire that rules the world. He will do that at his second coming, Revelation 19.
When Jesus came the first time to suffer and die he postponed the wrath of God that Israel saw and used against the heathen of the promised land in the Old Testament. Pick up your cross, my dear friend, and step away from supporting the warlike nature that all nations and men exhibit naturally. They are yet unsaved, as we once were.

“Hal Lindsey is currently married to his fourth wife, having divorced his previous three. On the back cover of the sixth printing of his 1974 book, There’s a New World Coming, is a picture of Lindsey with his second wife, Jan. (Jan is the mother of Hal’s three grown daughters.) He also dedicates the book to “my best pal, my wife Jan …” However, “best pal” Jan is gone from the back cover of the book’s 1984 “updated” edition, as is the dedication to her. A later Lindsey’ book, Planet Earth–2000 A.D. (18 million in circulation as of 1/95), carries a picture of Hal and his third wife, Kim, who is approximately 25 years his junior. (Kim is the sister of author Johanna Michaelsen, and the sister-in-law of Tetelestai Center’s Associate Pastor, Randy Michaelsen.) After dumping Kim, Hal is now married to wife #4, JoLyn, a member of Tetelestai and in a Bible class taught by Lindsey when she was evidently “discovered” by Hal”.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Regarding any man that claims to be a Christian, I do not feel it is right or proper for them to get involved in world affairs. I believe that we, as children of God, have been born again into the kingdom of God. We are no longer of this world. Our duty as one born again into the kingdom of God is to preach true repentance everywhere to anyone who will listen together with the Gospel of Christ that others who will believe may also be born into the kingdom of God.
Once we are born into the kingdom of God through repentance and a new birth of the water and of the Spirit, we are no longer of this worldly order and should not take any active part in attempting to influence any world leader with anything other than the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring them to salvation.
I don’t believe many of us so called born again Christians have grasped the whole concept of being born into the kingdom of God. We have lived under the bondage of sin and under the curse of sin which is the second death in hell, but have been released from these by the shed blood and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. As members in the body of Christ, we need to begin to learn how one is to live as a member of His body. We’re so accustomed to being completely guided by our five natural senses, but now as born again Christians in the kingdom of God, we must learn to develop spiritual senses. We must begin to learn such things as what it means to walk in the Spirit, to follow after the Spirit, to walk by faith and not by sight, to worship in the Spirit, to pray in the Spirit, etc. We have been transformed into a Spiritual walk with God by the new birth.
Looking back over my life, I was raised in a Christian home. I remember some old fashioned house meetings when I was a child. Also, dad told me that at the time my mother gave birth to me, the doctor said he could save only one of us and the obvious choice was my mother of course. When I was born, my arm was broken from childbirth and the doctor did not set my arm nor dd he even take the time to tie my navel. My Aunt was staying with my mother at the time and she cleaned me up and tied my navel and took me to my mom for breast feedings. When the dctor returned to check on my mom, I was still alive so he took the time then to set my broken arm. As a boy of six years of age, I had had double pneumonia and the whooping cough a number of times. Each time my parents would take me to the doctor and get antibiotics, etc. to get me well. The doctor finally told my mom that if I contnued to have this sickness, I would die because my heart and lungs were getting too weak. An Evangelist was holding services at the local Pentecostal church and dad got hold of him and asked if he would come to our home and pray for me and he did. Within a short time after he prayed for me and left, I started feeling better and getting hungry. I never had double pneumonia with the whooping cough since and that’s been over 50 years ago. And even though I drifted away from the Lord and went my own way for many years, I knew His hand was upon me for my life was spared a number of times.
Yes like a fool I drifted away from the Lord and walked in my own ways for many years. The biggest rason for this was discouragement. I was raised in a very strict church and I cme to realize I could not live up to their demands. We were told a lot of things we were expected to do and many things we were not expected to do, but I found that even though the Lord Jesus had pardond all my transgressions by His blood that He shed, my flesh was still alive and I could not live a perfect life – I would fall from time to time and do or say things that I shouldn’t. So I felt if I couldn’t do it all, there wasn’t any point in dong any of it. And such things happen when we fall into the traps of man made doctrine. When I returned to the Lord Jesus, I determined in my heart to lay aside all the doctrine I was taught and simply read and follow the bible. I determined in my heart to take a stand for Christ and His Word and believe what He had to say. Since I stopped trying to conform to some doctrine of man and follow Christ, it made all the difference in the world. But this is something each of us must learn.
Sorry that I got off track Jack. I thought I’d share these things with you. From something you said, I think you and I are around the same age. I turned 59 years of age this past Spring.
One habit I got into when I strayed away from the Lord was smoking. I have sought the Lord many times to deliver me from this habit, but have not been delivered as yet. I have come to realize how God views my smoking. If I told this to mny that I know, they’d say I was delusional. But let me tell you a dream I was given when I was desperately seeking the Lord for deliverance from this habit. In a dream, I was sittind down beside quite a large table and was smoking a cigarette. An old woman sitting near me was really ripping me up for smoking and I felt so bad that I reached over to the table to put my cigarette out in an ash tray on the table. As i reached over to put my cigarette out, I noticed a man standing there that sat on the platform in church each Sunday. Then I noticed quite a line of people there that I recognized from church. The old woman stood and went to each one of them and asked the question, “how much did you smoke today” and I learned that each and every one of them had smoked that day but that each had smoked a different amount. God in His mercy was showing me that the fault I had was no different than the faults all these had in His sight. Although I continue to struggle with this habit, I do not feel the condemnation that I felt before then. There are very few people that I feel I can share this with.
Thre is another thing I want to mention Jack and then I will end this letter. It’s been a few years ago now (about four years ago). My wife and I had attended diffeent churches in our area. There was a Pentecostal church here but we never much like it and I won’t get into the reasons why. However, we heard about another Pentecostal church outside of town and heard they were having great spirit filled services so my wife and I decided to go. Well, it seemed the sevices were all they were said to be. People were jumping around singing choruses of praise, swaying about clapping their hands and shouting. There were messages in tongues and interpretations. The new preacher there appeared to demonstrate the gift of the Word of Knowledge and we thought we had found a great church to attend. Then I had a strange dream! I dreamed of a group of people who were natives and ere in and all around my house. An old man outside would walk very slowly to a place and shoot into the ground with a shotgun, then turn and run, then do the same thing again. Then I noticed a younge native stealing something that was mine. I stopped him and told him I saw what he was doing and told him clearly I did not want him stealing from me anymore.An older native man overheard what I said to him and approached me. He said to me, so you don’t want us staling anymore, eh? Well perhaps we should give you your share. He said your share is $50,000.00 and sent a young native man to get my share and bring it to me. The young native man went and came back and handed me an envelope. I opened the envelope and it contained a shet of letter size paper with a $50.00 bill in it. As I unfolded the sheet of paper, I noticed it had two picturs drawn on it like sketches of people and some writing as well. I started reading it and waves began going up and doen the sheet of pape and one of the figures began swaying about like they were dancing. I knew there was something wrong and felt there was a bad spirit attached to this and that if I accepted the money, I would also accept the curse that came with it. I quickly gave the contents of the envelope back to the young native man and told him to take it back, that I wanted nothing to do with it
I told my wife the dream and wondered greatly about it. I felt in my spirit that it had to do with the church we were attending, but wondered who the native people were. Some things began to happen. We have a duughter that is mentally challenged s they call it these days – I think we’re all mentally challenged as far as that goes – anyway we had some at the church lay their hands on her and pray for her. Afterwards, she began getting much worse. Then I noticed that I was unble to enter into the service. Others were singing, swaying about and clapping and shouting, but I couldn’t enter in. This bothered me greatly and I thought there must be something wrong with me. When I was at home especially in prayer, I could feel the Holy Spirit down inside me and feel His anointing on my head and shoulders, but I could feel nothing in church nor could I enter into the worship service. And so one Sunday morning as the “worship team” lead in a few choruses and I was unable to enter in, I bowed my head and said, “I bind every spirit in this place that is not of God and forbid you to manifest in any way in the name of the Lord Jesus”. When I raised my head, the worship team seemed confused and turned the service over to the pastor. When the pastor came to the pulpit, he seemed also very confused. He didn’t preach – just talked for a few minutes then went and sat down. And this is when I realized for the first time that the spirit that was controlling the people was not the Spirit of God, but rather a deceiving spirit of the enemy of our soul. Needless to say, we left the church. My daughter continued to grow worse and ended up going to a psychiatric hospital for a six month stay before she could return home with us again.
So I came to learn that the enemy of our soul is everywhere. He’s not only leading about the leader’s of our nation, but he is leading about many pastors, evangelists and church leaders as well. Church used to be a good thing and I believe there are still good churches, but some of them aren’t so good. Satan has counterfitted the Spirit of God and many are being deceived. He has sent out many wolves in sheeps clothing to deceive with doctrines like prosperity, word of faith movement where people are equal to God and all other sorts of garbage. They have a GIGO mentallity like a computer – the devil puts garbage in their minds and they give it out and deceive others.

I believe America is in the beginning of being judged by God. The Bible says His judgment will start with/in the House of God first (see 1 Peter 4:17). Patrick J. Buchanan latest book “State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America”is a real eye-opener as was his prior book “The Death of the West.” Although he is a Roman Catholic, he has his facts correct when it comes to history and the ever increasing danger America is experiencing as we decay from within. I am sick of hearing preacher yammer on about how America has to “repent of abortion, racism, sexism, etc…” Although I agree we need to do these things. I KNOW we need to, as a Church, REPENT of all the heresy we have exported and continue to export globally (TBN), Benny Hinn, Copeland, that whole crowd. The “charismatic” part of the Church is the fastest growing and yet the most unstable. . .could this be part of God’s judgment already? That He is sending a strong delusion on those who have no love for His truth? Example: I come to your town, place ad’s in the local paper, do some radio spots, a billboard or 2 on “miracle crusade” it would be standing room only. Come to town and do exactly the same advertising on “Take Up Your Cross, the Cost of Discipleship” and a handful at best might come. Sad but true.

Greetings once again, Jack. I had to smile because as I sat down to read your e-mail I had just returned from the office of the Supervisor of Elections in my town where I had changed my political party affiliation to “Unaffiliated”. Why bother to register to vote at all? Good question. For one thing, there is a remote chance that God might produce a Christian voice for whom to vote. That being currently unlikely (since politicians rarely achieve political notoriety through true Godly platforms) the fact that jury duty roles are derived from voter registration lists motivates me. I was a “Republican” until I realized how vastly far removed I am from that political climate. (Of course the Democrats seem to like the ditch on the other side of the road.) The majority of Christians trust in these right-wing politico’s. Unfortunately, their trust is badly misplaced…for they now trust in man, whose heart is wickedly self-serving. Does the U.S. hope to influence the world to accept our precepts? Is that not akin to world domination? Is this nothing more than another in a long, long history of lusting for power and wealth? We’re in trouble, that’s for sure. It takes men like yourself who are willing to stand in the gap and publicly speak the truth, even though I suspect the negative criticism and outrage will increase against you. In a sense one might feel the futility of our part in all of this but in this I feel certain: there is nothing that anyone can do other than point at what has already been done! Jesus said “I go to prepare a place for you….” and if there is veracity in the scriptures regarding the end times then that is definitely planned out already. Thanks for your work, Jack. [I have written many times in other articles and it bears repeating often, that I honor men like Thomas for serving and sacrificing themselves for others. He is like veterans of the military who put their lives on the line for others, even though most of us were deceived by the false militant gospel of religious hirelings. To be clear about this, I am not honoring the sin of killing one’s enemies in the name of some political or religious cause, just as Peter was not honoring the sin of men when he said..Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King, 1 Peter 2:17. To honor means to esteem, to hold dear and precious, or to value “all” people, without partiality or respect of certain persons. This is how God feels toward all of fallen mankind, Romans 5:6-11. He loves, values, and holds precious the people he created and was moved to offer salvation to all of them. The Son of God came to serve and sacrifice himself so that men can be freed from their own sin nature and the fallen angels who manipulate it. If God honors all men in this way, how can Christians not have the same attitude, Philippians 2:1-11? The attitude of soldiers to put their lives on the line to save others is honorable, but not their willingness to kill other men for whom the Lord Jesus shed his blood. This is an example of how Satan has mixed his lies with the truth of the bloody cross!
I want to believe that Christians who have participated in carnal wars were acting out of ignorance because they were deceived. My willingness as a soldier to kill my human enemies was held in ignorance, and God has forgiven those of us who have repented. I will always remember the five years in the United States Army and the fine men I served with in Vietnam. Several of my family members, and friends I grew up with, all professing Christians, bear the scars from bullet and shrapnel wounds while serving in Vietnam. I consider them among my best friends and when we meet for annual reunions, I am honored to be in their presence.
Sometimes I find myself weeping when I see the awful head and body scars my cousin lives with. He was a “dust-off” medic who flew into sometimes “hot” landing zones in helicopters to pick up the dead and wounded during the Vietnam war. He was awarded the Silver Star for saving the lives of ten wounded soldiers while severely wounded himself. The pilot of his helicopter received the Congressional Medal of Honor. I want every one of them in the Kingdom of Heaven when Jesus returns and they all know how I now feel about carnal wars and why. As I wrote in my article “Moved with Compassion”, I lived for a long time with guilt, when after I was trained as an armored recon specialist and fully expecting to be shipped with my friends to combat units in Vietnam, I was given orders for Officers Candidate School. Some of my recon friends didn’t come home alive, and for a long time I thought I should have been one of them who came home in a flag-draped coffin.
Even the apostle Paul commented on the discipline and singleness of mind that is required of a soldier, and encouraged the followers of Jesus to do the same when he said…Thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier, 2 Timothy 2:3-4.
Obviously, the warring that Paul is referring to for the Christian is not the same as a traditional soldier who takes the lives of others, 2 Corinthians 10:1-5. The “dominionists” need to remember that, don’t they? Paul’s new war was spiritual and aimed directly at the fallen angels who had deceived him into hating and killing other fallen men before he surrendered his heart to the God of Israel, Jesus Christ, Ephesians 6:12.
And those who felt the wrath of the unconverted Paul most in those days were the new converts to Jesus Christ among the Jewish people. It is no wonder that Messianic Jews were originally very cautious upon hearing that one of their greatest persecutors, Paul, had become a fellow believer.
Remember Christians, being a good soldier or fireman and winning the respect and admiration of men, does not change the fact that we all were deceived by the fallen angels, working through political-religious hirelings, into following a false gospel that keeps our hearts and eyes off of the coming Kingdom of God at the return of Jesus Christ. It is a false gospel that makes other fallen men our enemies, rather than the fallen angels that manipulate man’s sin nature into warring against each other. I hope that you would all agree with me that firemen, paramedics, policemen, and veterans should be honored, but the brave actions of these men do not wash away their sin nature and their responsibility for it.
What you see taking place among the nations in this world is the inherent conflict between good and evil that resides in all men. Furthermore, the Lord Jesus Christ has made it clear that even the good that unsaved men wish to do is influenced or soiled by the sin nature they all possess, thus making their good works as filthy rags in the eyes of God the Father, Isaiah 64:6.]
Bit, I agree with this email, I don’t agree with all that he writes, and I don’t know anyone that I do completely agree with, except GOD’s WORD, That I agree with every single word written in it. Even those things that Paul wrote, that many claim GOD did not inspire him to write. I believe that if any word is found in our HOLY BIBLE today then it was meant to be there as if GOD HIMSELF SPOKE it.
Now as for your comment about Jack not believing that a criminal should be punished. I believe as Jack dose, that Justice lies in the hands of an imperfect government not in a Christians hands, GOD’s Word plainly states that GOD HIMSELF put those powers in place, and that we are to honor those men and women as Jack explained, but GOD will allow great deception to come through those very governments that HE has allowed, and his perfect will and prophetic events will be fulfilled through and by those very governments. I do not believe that HE would have HIS followers to walk in the deception of those same governments.
Now Bit, I myself will not allow myself to be entangled by any of the affairs of this world, this is why I DO NOT VOTE. I WILL NOT SERVE JURY DUTY. Yes if GOD speaks to my heart to make a plea to the president to lead this nation to repentance then I will do so. I am very often emotionally distracted at times due to events taking place in our world, and for a time may be distracted from the purposes that I feel that GOD has called me to. But it dose not take long before GOD grabs my attention back to the course that has been laid before me.
Bit, make no mistake about it we are at the very cutting edge of time, we are at the very threshold of the worst seven years this world has ever witnessed. It is time to make sure that our lamps are trimed and that they are full of oil, that we are not being lulled to sleep by the comforts of this world, even this nation.
This is the very deception that I, myself, and Jack Hook are trying to wake as many as will wake, before it is too late for them. Bit I make this statement with no apologies; if this country is not Babylon then it most certainly is a beginning part of it. Don’t be fooled by the icing on this very poisonous cake. It will have you sleeping like snow white in very short order, and you will not even know what happened.
I have one call on my life and nowhere in that call can I find any justification to entangle myself in the affairs of city government or otherwise. This dose not mean that I will not speak out against the many atrocities as I am led to do so if I am.

Once again I’d like to thank you for putting forth the Christian view so clearly and precisely. I too read the Late Great Planet Earth back in 1970’s when I was a teenager. If anything, it alienated me from any further investigation of Christianity at that time. I also completely agree with your view that American “Christians”, who view America as THE Christian nation, really need to take a long hard look in the mirror. I do think there was a time when America could nominally be referred to as a “Christian” nation, but that was MORE than 100 years ago. My colonial ancestors were anabaptist pacifists who helped found the “Brethren Church” in Amwell, NJ. But, like most American families, mine had completely drifted away from the TRUTH over the course of the 20th century. I was raised in a hollow shell of “christian-like” morality, without ever being introduced to the SOURCE. Neither I, my siblings, nor our parents were ever baptized. We never went to church. Like most 20th century protestants, my father subconsciously equated God’s blessings with the acquisition of wealth. He was a Mason. Half of my childhood memories of my father are of him puffing on his pipe, hands rattling change in his pocket, whilst carefully evaluating the dollar-value of some object in front of him (usually a prospective new car). We CANNOT serve BOTH God AND Money! Over the past 50 years America has become filled to capacity with rampant immorality. America has lost it’s way, and NOBODY can tell me that it still has a moral right to judge other nations such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran.
Your comments about the Pope’s speech are correct also. It is hypocritical of him to point fingers at Islam and say that it was spread by the sword. Was not Catholicism spread by the wars of Constantine, Charlemagne, the Crusaders and the Conquistadors? Of course! But, you see, the duality of Cchurch and state in the Christian world allows the Pope to preach pacifism whilst his secular arms are busy conquering! The Imams of Islam have no such luxuries.

Our Father in Heaven knows all things, from the beginning until the end of time, only through his Son our Lord Jesus, shall we come to everlasting life.
Our Father knows what is in a man`s heart, He knows the evil ones from the good ones, although not one of us on this earth is without sin, we are all sinners who must seek the path, the only path, Our Lord Jesus is the path. Jesus Christ was the only pure human being without sin, ever to walk on this earth.
If I am alive when the end comes my brother, I will defend my family and my friends from those evil ones who would bring pain, suffering, and death to my loved ones.
Maybe you don`t agree with that, believe what you would like my brother, but I believe our Father in Heaven shall guide my actions, I shall defend myself and those who require defence unless guided otherwise. My father aged now, protected me when I was young, I shall protect him and my Mother now that they are old.
I will not go on an offensive for no man, defence only, I was given life myself and my loved ones around me to care for by our Lord God. Our Father shall decide how things come to pass on this earth. Our Father is working through people like yourself to guide those to Him that He wishes to come, and He wants us all to come to Him.
The choice shall be free to all mankind, to go down the path of Good or Evil. No man can save another`s eternal life, only through Jesus Christ shall we be saved.
I am not a zealot my brother, nor were the Soldiers who fought in past war`s all zealot`s, some indeed, but I am forever proud of the selfless act`s to defend their countries`s and the brother beside them on the battlefield. Onward Christian Soldier`s.

Excellent…..I have to agree we are in a time that “only the strong will survive.” I think all thoughts of retirement basking on a yaught or playing golf everday is over for those that have opened their eyes to the fact that It’s not about us, but about God and God only. We have the saving power of Jesus Christ inside of us where the Greater One dwells. I have been taught for years “Spiritual Warfare”. Through the years I have found from experience that God is in charge and runs this whole show here on this earth….so the way my thinking is, is this: If I am approached by an intruder, meaning anyone sent by Satan to harm me….with the knowledge I have this is how I would handle the situation and believe me I have this root so deep that it’s as though you are looking at a large tree outside your home….go and try and push it over!!!!
A gun to my head I would have to say “go ahead and pull the trigger if it is my time to go home than I will but since “no weapon formed against me shall prosper,” I suggest you look me in the eye and know that the “greater one in me is greater than the one in this world.” I “bind that strongman in the Name of Jesus and since you can see how great your God is operating against mine I will then let you know that you don’t have to go to hell, but I will explain to you why Jesus died for you….etc……I said to a Buddist one time in reference that his god was not anything compared to mine….he couldn’t even say the word Buddist and tried…..so I know the authority God gave us to be overcomers……of course we would not be overcomers if we didn’t have anything to overcome or have a testimony if we weren’t tested…..Life is getting interested and we just need our eyes on our Lord and only Him….I have a lot of friends in Mississippi, as I lived in Biloxi for quite some time…..lost homes and some family members…but they are very thankful people that they have not lost their lives….one friend said “that even though Katrina was awful and destructive, it brought him closer to His Maker and respects his family more.”…….I don’t know what God has for me to do these last days, but whatever He wants He will show me……My book tells about my relationship with God and how I had to let go and just let Him….well years of that puts a different outlook on life than I had years ago……thank you for your article. Hi Mr. Hook, Most of us, Christians, Catholics and Jews are confused about the Islamic Terrorists. Doug Giles wrote a very interesting column about God and Jesus. I must say after I read it, I felt empowered. Civilized people in this day and age really don’t know how to deal with their feelings about fanatics. But in Doug Gile’s column, he set us straight by telling us Jesus was not one to dismiss savages and fanatics by forgiving them. God and Jesus were crusaders against evil. We are empowered to pray that the guilty perish and the innocent flourish. When he said forgive your enemy, He didn’t mean those who beheaded innocent people. He didn’t give forgiveness to those who would murder children by placing bombs on them to destroy more innocent humans. He didn’t mean to forgive those who murder innocent men, women and children because they are of another religion or a different sect. We are dealing with terrorists who hate us, not a neighbor who is aggravating us. This is war and Doug Gile said to pray biblical imprecatory prayers against the Islamo-fascists.
What is an imprecatory prayer?
It is a prayer asking God to crush a clear enemy of His, an enemy which is an aggressive adversary of freedom and peace loving people. The Bible is filled with maledictions prayed by saints and speedily answered by Go against violently impenitent enemies of liberty and righteousness.
Example: “Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; tear out, O Lord, the fangs of the lions! Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted. Like a slug melting away as it moves along, like a still born child, may they not see the sun. The righteous will be glad when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.” Psalm 58.6-10
Doug Giles ended his column with these words:
“So start tossing imprecatory prayers heavenward and watch what God does to militant implacable Islam. The celestial spank of terrorists is no big deal for God. And our prayers could save thousands of our soldiers’ lives, our citizens’ lives and the lives of innocent, moderate Muslims and others who get caught in the freak boys’ villainous crossfire. Let us pray.”
I’ve been praying for our military and all those tortured by these savages. Now I will ask God to destroy those who would harm innocent men, women and children.

Yours is an interesting commentary to receive on Yom Kippur. My take is that we need to be aware of what is going on in the world, but not drawn into what will make men’s hearts fail for fear. The divine play will continue and the characters listen for their cues and march across the stage. Who are we to seek to stop them?
I suspect the persons you mentioned (in your article “An Appeal to Hal Lindsey”) have so hardened their hearts that they are beyond repentence. As Yeshua said, “Follow me.”
OK, I am going to step out and be more harsh about this. They worship the image of the beast; that is, a false image of who Jesus is, a replacement that appeals to the flesh.
So, the most important issue is that those who do belong to him learn to hear his voice and recognize the “voice of another.”

You know Jack, those who have ears to hear and eyes to see will hear and see. I know those deep heart felt feelings that you talk of and can only come from the Holy Spirit. We are in the Latter days and the dispensation of times is upon us. The only thing I know to do is ask my Lord Jesus for deliverance and to do the right things during these up coming days of Daniels prophecies.
I’ve read what you have to say but still do not see a clear cut path or way that you give other than trusting the Lord my God with all my heart and all my strength. I am of the firm belief that this Great Whore Babylon (USA) will burn and be destroyed and I believe the Democrats in their arrogant ways are just the tool the Lord will use to allow this to come to past. The majority of this country (The Religious Right) is walking in absolute darkness anyway. A dear sister in Christ told me as we discussed this latter day church, and these were her exact words, “My Lord, we’re walking in darkness and obviously blind”. The modern day church is not even aware that they worship on the first day of the week and not God’s Sabbath which is a mark between Man and God.

I too have seen the blood and gore of war in a place called Korea. While there in combat, as a born again believer, a member of the body of Christ, I saw myself as one who was in that land to help protect the Christian Koreans in the south.
Should I have abandoned them to the atheistic multitudes invading them from the north with the intent of killing them?
I see and hear in your reasoning’s that we as born again believers should not have police forces in our nation, let alone a military force since their only function is to uphold the Satanic design of this world. When Jesus met with the centurion and literally bragged about his faith as compared to the Jews, why did not Jesus condemn him for being a professional soldier?
Yes, I agree 100% that we are to pray for the salvation of those who are lost and world leaders. But are we to be poor stewards over the physical bodies the Lord has given us by letting them literally kill us while we stand mute like dumb sheep? I would see this as poor stewardship to say the least.
When one political party in my nation supports and finances the murder of unborn infants and the second political party does not, I will be found on the side of the second political party if for no other reason.

Thank you for responding and I appreciate and understand your comments. Most of us veterans have the same sentiments until we are confronted by Jesus Christ and his teachings. He told us to beware of false prophets who came as wolves dressed in sheepskin suits. He warns those who became his followers that fallen angels are the rulers of the world system and Satan offered the glory of them to Jesus. The Centurion and Cornelius, if they continued to follow in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, would have heard Jesus, Peter, and Paul say to them:
John 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
Mark 8:34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? 37Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 38If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Buzz, all of these scriptures prove what I have said that all nations are manipulated and controlled by the fallen angels and will be until the Lord Jesus returns to chain them in Hell for 1000 years, Revelation 20. Until that day we are to walk as Jesus walked and realize that all men are born with a sin nature that Jesus wants to save them from. We are all born with the wrathful, lustful, and proud nature of Satan, 1 John 2:16, Ephesians 2:1-7. Jesus came to save us from that and not the evil boot of the Roman Empire that rules the world. He will do that at his second coming, Revelation 19.
When Jesus came the first time to suffer and die he postponed the wrath of God that Israel saw and used against the heathen of the promised land in the Old Testament. Pick up your cross, my dear friend, and step away from supporting the warlike nature that all nations and men exhibit naturally. They are yet unsaved, as we once were.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Regarding any man that claims to be a Christian, I do not feel it is right or proper for them to get involved in world affairs. I believe that we, as children of God, have been born again into the kingdom of God. We are no longer of this world. Our duty as one born again into the kingdom of God is to preach true repentance everywhere to anyone who will listen together with the Gospel of Christ that others who will believe may also be born into the kingdom of God.
Once we are born into the kingdom of God through repentance and a new birth of the water and of the Spirit, we are no longer of this worldly order and should not take any active part in attempting to influence any world leader with anything other than the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring them to salvation.
I don’t believe many of us so called born again Christians have grasped the whole concept of being born into the kingdom of God. We have lived under the bondage of sin and under the curse of sin which is the second death in hell, but have been released from these by the shed blood and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. As members in the body of Christ, we need to begin to learn how one is to live as a member of His body. We’re so accustomed to being completely guided by our five natural senses, but now as born again Christians in the kingdom of God, we must learn to develop spiritual senses. We must begin to learn such things as what it means to walk in the Spirit, to follow after the Spirit, to walk by faith and not by sight, to worship in the Spirit, to pray in the Spirit, etc. We have been transformed into a Spiritual walk with God by the new birth.
Looking back over my life, I was raised in a Christian home. I remember some old fashioned house meetings when I was a child. Also, dad told me that at the time my mother gave birth to me, the doctor said he could save only one of us and the obvious choice was my mother of course. When I was born, my arm was broken from childbirth and the doctor did not set my arm nor dd he even take the time to tie my navel. My Aunt was staying with my mother at the time and she cleaned me up and tied my navel and took me to my mom for breast feedings. When the dctor returned to check on my mom, I was still alive so he took the time then to set my broken arm. As a boy of six years of age, I had had double pneumonia and the whooping cough a number of times. Each time my parents would take me to the doctor and get antibiotics, etc. to get me well. The doctor finally told my mom that if I contnued to have this sickness, I would die because my heart and lungs were getting too weak. An Evangelist was holding services at the local Pentecostal church and dad got hold of him and asked if he would come to our home and pray for me and he did. Within a short time after he prayed for me and left, I started feeling better and getting hungry. I never had double pneumonia with the whooping cough since and that’s been over 50 years ago. And even though I drifted away from the Lord and went my own way for many years, I knew His hand was upon me for my life was spared a number of times.
Yes like a fool I drifted away from the Lord and walked in my own ways for many years. The biggest rason for this was discouragement. I was raised in a very strict church and I cme to realize I could not live up to their demands. We were told a lot of things we were expected to do and many things we were not expected to do, but I found that even though the Lord Jesus had pardond all my transgressions by His blood that He shed, my flesh was still alive and I could not live a perfect life – I would fall from time to time and do or say things that I shouldn’t. So I felt if I couldn’t do it all, there wasn’t any point in dong any of it. And such things happen when we fall into the traps of man made doctrine. When I returned to the Lord Jesus, I determined in my heart to lay aside all the doctrine I was taught and simply read and follow the bible. I determined in my heart to take a stand for Christ and His Word and believe what He had to say. Since I stopped trying to conform to some doctrine of man and follow Christ, it made all the difference in the world. But this is something each of us must learn.
Sorry that I got off track Jack. I thought I’d share these things with you. From something you said, I think you and I are around the same age. I turned 59 years of age this past Spring.
One habit I got into when I strayed away from the Lord was smoking. I have sought the Lord many times to deliver me from this habit, but have not been delivered as yet. I have come to realize how God views my smoking. If I told this to mny that I know, they’d say I was delusional. But let me tell you a dream I was given when I was desperately seeking the Lord for deliverance from this habit. In a dream, I was sittind down beside quite a large table and was smoking a cigarette. An old woman sitting near me was really ripping me up for smoking and I felt so bad that I reached over to the table to put my cigarette out in an ash tray on the table. As i reached over to put my cigarette out, I noticed a man standing there that sat on the platform in church each Sunday. Then I noticed quite a line of people there that I recognized from church. The old woman stood and went to each one of them and asked the question, “how much did you smoke today” and I learned that each and every one of them had smoked that day but that each had smoked a different amount. God in His mercy was showing me that the fault I had was no different than the faults all these had in His sight. Although I continue to struggle with this habit, I do not feel the condemnation that I felt before then. There are very few people that I feel I can share this with.
Thre is another thing I want to mention Jack and then I will end this letter. It’s been a few years ago now (about four years ago). My wife and I had attended diffeent churches in our area. There was a Pentecostal church here but we never much like it and I won’t get into the reasons why. However, we heard about another Pentecostal church outside of town and heard they were having great spirit filled services so my wife and I decided to go. Well, it seemed the sevices were all they were said to be. People were jumping around singing choruses of praise, swaying about clapping their hands and shouting. There were messages in tongues and interpretations. The new preacher there appeared to demonstrate the gift of the Word of Knowledge and we thought we had found a great church to attend. Then I had a strange dream! I dreamed of a group of people who were natives and ere in and all around my house. An old man outside would walk very slowly to a place and shoot into the ground with a shotgun, then turn and run, then do the same thing again. Then I noticed a younge native stealing something that was mine. I stopped him and told him I saw what he was doing and told him clearly I did not want him stealing from me anymore.An older native man overheard what I said to him and approached me. He said to me, so you don’t want us staling anymore, eh? Well perhaps we should give you your share. He said your share is $50,000.00 and sent a young native man to get my share and bring it to me. The young native man went and came back and handed me an envelope. I opened the envelope and it contained a shet of letter size paper with a $50.00 bill in it. As I unfolded the sheet of paper, I noticed it had two picturs drawn on it like sketches of people and some writing as well. I started reading it and waves began going up and doen the sheet of pape and one of the figures began swaying about like they were dancing. I knew there was something wrong and felt there was a bad spirit attached to this and that if I accepted the money, I would also accept the curse that came with it. I quickly gave the contents of the envelope back to the young native man and told him to take it back, that I wanted nothing to do with it
I told my wife the dream and wondered greatly about it. I felt in my spirit that it had to do with the church we were attending, but wondered who the native people were. Some things began to happen. We have a duughter that is mentally challenged s they call it these days – I think we’re all mentally challenged as far as that goes – anyway we had some at the church lay their hands on her and pray for her. Afterwards, she began getting much worse. Then I noticed that I was unble to enter into the service. Others were singing, swaying about and clapping and shouting, but I couldn’t enter in. This bothered me greatly and I thought there must be something wrong with me. When I was at home especially in prayer, I could feel the Holy Spirit down inside me and feel His anointing on my head and shoulders, but I could feel nothing in church nor could I enter into the worship service. And so one Sunday morning as the “worship team” lead in a few choruses and I was unable to enter in, I bowed my head and said, “I bind every spirit in this place that is not of God and forbid you to manifest in any way in the name of the Lord Jesus”. When I raised my head, the worship team seemed confused and turned the service over to the pastor. When the pastor came to the pulpit, he seemed also very confused. He didn’t preach – just talked for a few minutes then went and sat down. And this is when I realized for the first time that the spirit that was controlling the people was not the Spirit of God, but rather a deceiving spirit of the enemy of our soul. Needless to say, we left the church. My daughter continued to grow worse and ended up going to a psychiatric hospital for a six month stay before she could return home with us again.
So I came to learn that the enemy of our soul is everywhere. He’s not only leading about the leader’s of our nation, but he is leading about many pastors, evangelists and church leaders as well. Church used to be a good thing and I believe there are still good churches, but some of them aren’t so good. Satan has counterfitted the Spirit of God and many are being deceived. He has sent out many wolves in sheeps clothing to deceive with doctrines like prosperity, word of faith movement where people are equal to God and all other sorts of garbage. They have a GIGO mentallity like a computer – the devil puts garbage in their minds and they give it out and deceive others.

I believe America is in the beginning of being judged by God. The Bible says His judgment will start with/in the House of God first (see 1 Peter 4:17). Patrick J. Buchanan latest book “State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America”is a real eye-opener as was his prior book “The Death of the West.” Although he is a Roman Catholic, he has his facts correct when it comes to history and the ever increasing danger America is experiencing as we decay from within.
I am sick of hearing preacher yammer on about how America has to “repent of abortion, racism, sexism, etc…” Although I agree we need to do these things. I KNOW we need to, as a Church, REPENT of all the heresy we have exported and continue to export globally (TBN), Benny Hinn, Copeland, that whole crowd. The “charismatic” part of the Church is the fastest growing and yet the most unstable. . .could this be part of God’s judgment already? That He is sending a strong delusion on those who have no love for His truth? Example: I come to your town, place ad’s in the local paper, do some radio spots, a billboard or 2 on “miracle crusade” it would be standing room only. Come to town and do exactly the same advertising on “Take Up Your Cross, the Cost of Discipleship” and a handful at best might come. Sad but true.

Greetings once again, Jack. I had to smile because as I sat down to
read your e-mail I had just returned from the office of the Supervisor
of Elections in my town where I had changed my political party
affiliation to “Unaffiliated”.
Why bother to register to vote at all? Good question. For one thing,
there is a remote chance that God might produce a Christian voice for
whom to vote. That being currently unlikely (since politicians rarely
achieve political notoriety through true Godly platforms) the fact that
jury duty roles are derived from voter registration lists motivates me.
I was a “Republican” until I realized how vastly far removed I am from
that political climate. (Of course the Democrats seem to like the ditch
on the other side of the road.) The majority of Christians trust in
these right-wing politico’s. Unfortunately, their trust is badly
misplaced…for they now trust in man, whose heart is wickedly
self-serving. Does the U.S. hope to influence the world to accept our
precepts? Is that not akin to world domination? Is this nothing more
than another in a long, long history of lusting for power and wealth?
We’re in trouble, that’s for sure. It takes men like yourself who are
willing to stand in the gap and publicly speak the truth, even though I
suspect the negative criticism and outrage will increase against you.
In a sense one might feel the futility of our part in all of this but in
this I feel certain: there is nothing that anyone can do other than
point at what has already been done! Jesus said “I go to prepare a
place for you….” and if there is veracity in the scriptures regarding
the end times then that is definitely planned out already.

… just let them bomb away… and not defend ourselves at all….as a nation, we do not have to allow these sorts of acts, and as we were in a NATO and UN treaty forum with regard to Kuwait, and Iraq’s situation… our beef was not with Iraqis, unless they were terrorizing their own people as well as the people of other countries. Our beef was with Hussein and Al Cheida and the other terrorists of the world who wish to kill anyone who they wish to make their statements to the world… their murder victims are often not even the people they disagree with but deliberately chosen innocent people with regard to the issues of which they speak.For instance, bombing the WTC…. shopping centers, mosques, etc..
If you agree that we should not do anything about these terrorists, then I guess we shouldn’t have done anything about Hitler, or the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor.

[I have written many times in other articles and it bears repeating often, that I honor men like Thomas for serving and sacrificing themselves for
others. He is like veterans of the military who put their lives on the line for others, even though most of us were deceived by the false militant gospel of religious hirelings. To be clear about this, I am not honoring the sin of killing one’s enemies in the name of some political or religious cause, just as Peter was not honoring the sin of men when he said..Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King, 1 Peter 2:17. To honor means to esteem, to hold dear and precious, or to value “all” people, without partiality or respect of certain persons. This is how God feels toward all of fallen mankind, Romans 5:6-11. He loves, values, and holds precious the people he created and was moved to offer salvation to all of them. The Son of God came to serve and sacrifice himself so that men can be freed from their own sin nature and the fallen angels who manipulate it. If God honors all men in this way, how can Christians not have the same attitude, Philippians 2:1-11? The attitude of soldiers to put their lives on the line to save others is honorable, but not their willingness to kill other men for whom the Lord Jesus shed his blood. This is an example of how Satan has mixed his lies with the truth of the bloody cross!
I want to believe that Christians who have participated in carnal wars were acting out of ignorance because they were deceived. My willingness as a soldier to kill my human enemies was held in ignorance, and God has forgiven those of us who have repented. I will always remember the five years in the United States Army and the fine men I served with in Vietnam. Several of my family members, and friends I grew up with, all professing Christians, bear the scars from bullet and shrapnel wounds while serving in Vietnam. I consider them among my best friends and when we meet for annual reunions, I am honored to be in their presence.
Sometimes I find myself weeping when I see the awful head and body scars my cousin lives with. He was a “dust-off” medic who flew into sometimes “hot” landing zones in helicopters to pick up the dead and wounded during the Vietnam war. He was awarded the Silver Star for saving the lives of ten wounded soldiers while severely wounded himself. The pilot of his helicopter received the Congressional Medal of Honor. I want every one of them in the Kingdom of Heaven when Jesus returns and they all know how I now feel about carnal wars and why. As I wrote in my article “Moved with Compassion”, I lived for a long time with guilt, when after I was trained as an armored recon specialist and fully expecting to be shipped with my friends to combat units in Vietnam, I was given orders for Officers Candidate School. Some of my recon friends didn’t come home alive, and for a long time I thought I should have been one of them who came home in a flag-draped coffin.
Even the apostle Paul commented on the discipline and singleness of mind that is required of a soldier, and encouraged the followers of Jesus to do the same when he said…Thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier, 2 Timothy 2:3-4.
Obviously, the warring that Paul is referring to for the Christian is not the same as a traditional soldier who takes the lives of others, 2 Corinthians 10:1-5. The “dominionists” need to remember that, don’t they? Paul’s new war was spiritual and aimed directly at the fallen angels who had deceived him into hating and killing other fallen men before he surrendered his heart to the God of Israel, Jesus Christ, Ephesians 6:12.
And those who felt the wrath of the unconverted Paul most in those days were the new converts to Jesus Christ among the Jewish people. It is no wonder that Messianic Jews were originally very cautious upon hearing that one of their greatest persecutors, Paul, had become a fellow believer.
Remember Christians, being a good soldier or fireman and winning the respect and admiration of men, does not change the fact that we all were deceived by the fallen angels, working through political-religious hirelings, into following a false gospel that keeps our hearts and eyes off of the coming Kingdom of God at the return of Jesus Christ. It is a false gospel that makes other fallen men our enemies, rather than the fallen angels that manipulate man’s sin nature into warring against each other. I hope that you would all agree with me that firemen, paramedics, policemen, and veterans should be honored, but the brave actions of these men do not wash away their sin nature and their responsibility for it.
What you see taking place among the nations in this world is the inherent conflict between good and evil that resides in all men. Furthermore, the Lord Jesus Christ has made it clear that even the good that unsaved men wish to do is influenced or soiled by the sin nature they all possess, thus making their good works as filthy rags in the eyes of God the Father, Isaiah 64:6.]
Bit, I agree with this email, I don’t agree with all that he writes, and I don’t know anyone that I do completely agree with, except GOD’s WORD, That I agree with every single word written in it. Even those things that Paul wrote, that many claim GOD did not inspire him
to write. I believe that if any word is found in our HOLY BIBLE today then it was meant to be there as if GOD HIMSELF SPOKE it.
Now as for your comment about Jack not believing that a criminal should be punished. I believe as Jack dose, that Justice lies in the hands of an imperfect government not in a Christians hands, GOD’s Word plainly states that GOD HIMSELF put those powers in place, and that we are to honor those men and women as Jack explained, but GOD will allow great deception to come through those very governments that HE has allowed, and his perfect will and prophetic events will be fulfilled through and by those very governments. I do not believe that HE would have HIS followers to walk in the deception of those same governments.
Now Bit, I myself will not allow myself to be entangled by any of the affairs of this world, this is why I DO NOT VOTE. I WILL NOT SERVE JURY DUTY. Yes if GOD speaks to my heart to make a plea to the president to lead this nation to repentance then I will do so. I am very often emotionally distracted at times due to events taking place in our world, and for a time may be distracted from the purposes that I feel
that GOD has called me to. But it dose not take long before GOD grabs my attention back to the course that has been laid before me.
Bit, make no mistake about it we are at the very cutting edge of time, we are at the very threshold of the worst seven years this world has ever witnessed. It is time to make sure that our lamps are trimed and that they are full of oil, that we are not being lulled to sleep by the comforts of this world, even this nation.
This is the very deception that I, myself, and Jack Hook are trying to wake as many as will wake, before it is too late for them. Bit I make this statement with no apologies; if this country is not Babylon then it most certainly is a beginning part of it. Don’t be fooled by the icing on this very poisonous cake. It will have you sleeping like snow white in very short order, and you will
not even know what happened.
I have one call on my life and nowhere in that call can I find any justification to entangle myself in the affairs of city government or otherwise. This dose not mean that I will not speak out against the many atrocities as I am led to do so if I am.
My only concern is to free the deceived from the burning pit of hell, as GOD gives me the grace and ability to do so, even if I have to setup camp at the very gate of hell itself. I will pour my whole heart and my life into that cause because that is the call that my GOD has laid on my heart.
